I think the NHL really needs to re-think these offside challenges. If it takes many guys, multiple angles, zoom, etc. to determine if a play if off-side, it's not off-side.
In the spirit of the game, taking all that, the players on the ice had no hope of determining during the play and the mm or two either way make absolutely no difference to the result.
It's ridiculous.

I subscribe to the "Get it Right A******" philosophy.
That said, it does irk me that if a play is offside and a team doesn't score, shouldn't that be corrected as well? It'd be great if we could have offsides, and such be determied by technology rather than humans.
It's an objective standard.

That was so close. How does being offside by so little give the Panthers the advantage on the play? It doesn't. Yeah, if he's a door over then it should be offside but barely an inch, maybe two? Yes, technically it is but really it wouldn't have made a difference.
