Kings are changing their logo to a knock off quality version of their 1988-98 logo.

I don't mind it. The less italicized, bolder font throws you a bit, but it looks cleaner and the crown is a better design.

Big fan of this. Those Warren Rychel/Robb Stauber era Kings uniforms are some of the best. The Kopitar era Uni's have always been begging for a re-do, as there is just so much piping wasted space. I've never been a fan of that LA crest logo either.

What about glow in the dark purple helmets with frickin laser beams? What about those.
Or helmets that look like Crowns? They have to keep up with the VGK right for bragging rights on bright and shiny

Looks worse to me. Font choice is blurrier, which I suppose aligns with the in-motion look but now the speed lines look like scratches instead.
The change of the lean of the font has reduced the extent of the width which ruins the proportions. The Kings portion is now secondary to the vertical section, whereas before it was the opposite visually. The whole thing feels stubby.

I never really liked the speedy letters. Hoped they went back to the purple, but I guess that's the third jersey. Can't have the regular jersey upstaging the third.

I wish they kept the crown from the original; otherwise it looks great!
I'm in my late 30s, so these are THE Kings jerseys for me.

I like it, but not sure they need the movement dashes.
The overall logo and that jersey were nice though.

Exactly my take, for the same reason. I do prefer the old one, as there's just something..."Fanattic'ey" about the new one. But I'll certainly take it, glad they went back to this.
Curious to see how close the rest of the jersey is to the 90s jersey that original logo went with.

I've never really been a fan of this look.
The italics with speed lines just seems like they wanted to copy the Lakers look (which I'm sure is exactly why they did it) and the black & silver was just copying the Raiders at the time and jumping on the "everything black is cool" trend of the late-80s (or maybe they started the trend and everyone copied them).

Feels like historically the Kings have always been ahead of their time with their logo design. Seems that the general consensus is that people are always most into whatever the previous iteration was at any given time.
I was guilty of that recently, my favourite kings logo/uniform lately has been the black and purple early 00's look, and I hated that at the time!
