I think having a NY or Boston in your name gives a new company automatic street-cred in a self-conscious/insecure market like Canada

How inauthentic is it? I like upsetting the purists.

My personal favourite is A&W's.

Any yet is it messed up all the time, your post shows why.

NYF poutine is average. It's fine. That's about it. The gravy just isn't all that fantastic, and you need a good gravy. I'm not going to suggest that somewhere like The Big Cheese Poutinerie is authentic, but their poutine has indisputably better fries and gravy.

NYF is the best mall poutine, I think.

Food court food is its own category. You can’t compare it to standalone spots like the Big Cheese or whatever. It’s a self contained ecosystem of contrast and comparison.

Manchu Wok? Good food court Chinese food. Can’t compare it to anything outside of the food court, though. Not even within the mall.

I've come to expect that level of ingnorance from you.

Just like to call it out every now and then.

Sorry, you’re suggesting that saying Swiss Chalet is objectively worse than some of the best restaurants in Calgary is… ignorant?

Please, explain. I’d love to hear this.

No...Its the fact that because someone enjoys it, you question their entire taste in food.

Then you wrongly accuse him of being an immigrant / new canadian.

Why do you even care unless its to get some weird joy from putting people down online...

The chalet Sauce - that's where the spices are! That why you dip your chicken, your fries, your dinner roll - all into the chalet sauce!

Heck, if I accidentally dropped my wallet into the sauce, I'd try to eat it

Only white people like Swiss Chalet. Like when I go there with my family I'm literally the only visible minority other than the staff.

LOL, no, it’s not because he enjoys it you dork, it’s because he said it’s better than every Concorde group restaurant, which include some of the best restaurants in Calgary.

I enjoy McDonalds. Don’t care who knows it. But if I said it was better than Lil Empire I’d expect to get absolutely roasted and I’d probably enjoy it.

I also didn’t “accuse” him of being an immigrant, I asked him where he immigrated from after he said he had a “classic immigrant story.”

Good effort though. Really didn’t make a fool of yourself at all trying to “call it out” lol.

You do provide good input some times.

Too bad you come off as a Dick most of the time though.

That would be so cool to get dropped off at school on a firetruck every day.
