It happened this year and last year. Last year, Vegas won the first three against Dallas, lost the next two, closed it out on the third attempt. The Rangers this year, won the first three against Carolina, lost the next two, closed it out on the third attempt.

I don’t really get it. The only two times I’ve been cranky enough over a sport that it would carry into my personal life / internet interactions was the game 7 loss in 2004 and a Grey Cup loss on a last second penalty. The rest isn’t that big of a deal.
