We can hope but I have a very hard time seeing him slip to 9.

I've got him going to Chicago. They'd be insane to pass up that kind of dynamic duo.

I'd be surprised if Demidov got past Chicago and absolutely shocked if he got past Columbus.
edit: Absolutely shocked is a bit of a hyperbole but he's too good to not be in the top 4

Exactly.
Why are people so one-dimensional? You need balance. And if you fill the secondary roster positions with enough size, you can add high talent guys without having to worry about their size

Demi wont slide past Montreal. Especially given the fact they took Reinbacher over Michkov

That logic sounds counter intuitive.
If they passed on the Russian winger last year, I would think that its a greater probability that they will pass on the Russian winger again this year.
I can see him get picked by Utah at #6.

I imagine Iginla will be the third forward off the board. So until both Demi and Lindstrom are gone, theres not reallllly a chance we wont get Tij. If both are gone by 5 then we get to stress through Utah (who reportedly have interest but I think will likely go dman), Ottawa (who seem to have a lot of interest but there are talks they may swap picks with Philly at 12) and Seattle (who I also think goes dman).
So imo Ottawa/Philly are the biggest risks assuming Tij makes it past Montreal at 5

I think the top 5 goes
SJ: Macklin
Chicago: Levshunov
Anaheim: Silayev
CBJ: Demidov
Montreal: Lindstrom
So I think Iginla gets past there, and then possibly there is a run on D.

I would switch Demidov and Levshunov around, but otherwise I would agree that is probably the top 5. Well, I am confident ANA takes a D, but who knows which one?
Utah is a wild card
OTT makes bizarre decisions
SEA takes a D
CGY gets a great player (I'll guess Iginla, but hoping Linstrom or Silayev drop to us))

Nah, I think you learn from past mistakes, especially considering how Michkov VS Reinbacher looks now.

Helenius and Eiserman ahead of Dickinson would be a bit surprising

I could see Eiserman dropping into the mid or late teens
And I could see teams regretting that.

I have a very, very good feeling that one of:
Demidov
Lindstrom
Iginla
Catton
will be a CGY Flames player next Friday.
Also- if the sole purpose of this Flames rebuild arc isn't aiming for 2026 Gavin McKenna then I don't even know what the organization is doing.

IV has some connection to the team if I recall correctly so fingers crossed that list of four is also the Flames’ because I would be thrilled with any of those four (or Parekh if somehow he was available and they went defence).
Also completely agree that Hagens/McKenna should be the aspiration for the next couple years. Need that elite core to have a reasonable/sustainable chance at a cup.

Because people feel that it's a misappropriation of concern. Here I'll repeat your paragraph below to demonstrate (this will be an exaggeration just to be clear).
Why are people so one-dimensional? You need balance. And if you fill the secondary roster positions with enough blonds, you can add high talent guys without having to worry about their hair color.

Would be even better if 2 of them are!
And is that a personal opinion? or more?
