All the talk about the odds, and four straight etc are out the window now though. It’s only two straight, and that happens all the time. Gamblers fallacy is thinking that the two previous wins mean anything to odds going forward.
I was dreading an oilers win but at some point, who cares. Other fanbases have to deal with their rivals winning championships all the time and they don’t lose their #### over it. If anything we’ve been spoiled, and it will hopefully drive a reality check home to flames and their management.

Yeah, but a sweep is still hard. A reverse sweep is even harder. Let's just hope Skinner lays an egg at home

Definitely, and the odds are still not in their favour being down 3-2 but those are the go forward odds now. No team has come back from 0-3 besides the 1943 whatever’s but teams come back from 3-2 all the time, like 2004 as I’m sure we all remember.

The Panthers are still the superior team, diving, crying, luck and flukes can only get the Oilers so far. They'll have false confidence and their luck will run out.

Someone mounted a Oilers flag on what looks like a tree that is city property. Right beside the house with the Panthers flag. I am going to call that in, and report them for excessive water use.
Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention 30 minute segments on every sports channel that plays at the gym. We really need a 10 minute Craig Button segment to breakdown the game?

I'd say Florida's been better than Vancouver was in 6 and 7. Vancouver waited until the last 10 minutes to do something.
I liked Florida's start last night but that horrible Montour giveaway changed momentum. They took over the last half of the game but the damage was already done and they ran out of time.

It’s not a matter of effort. By this point in the season, the players are running on fumes. Their endurance and recovery is way lower than it was at the beginning of the playoffs. One of the reasons it’s so hard to repeat as cup champions in the NHL is the players’ bodies break down so much over a long playoff run that they haven’t fully recovered when the season starts again 4 months later.

The SH goals pretty much summarize the last 2 games. Florida is the team making stupid mistakes we typically expect of Edmonton and letting in a stinker or 2 as well.
The good news is that's unlikely to remain constant for 4 Oilers wins in a row. Just give us 1 game where Bob is the better goalie and Florida is the structured team again.

The Oilers scored one 5v5 goal last night. The Panthers will be just fine.
Since going down 3-0 in the series the Oilers have had 11 powerplays in two games. Teams in the finals average like two powerplays each per game. That won’t continue.

The worst part about this #### is how there are only games every 3 days. Just rip the bandaid off and get this torture over with, it's like a nightmare that never ends. Oilers seem sure to come back now, Panthers have been getting steamrolled the last 2 and a half games, coming into Edmonton's barn and then going home with the pressure of becoming the biggest chokers in NHL history on their shoulders. Let it just be over FFS

What’s the over/under on power plays EDM will be gifted in Game 6? Five?
Team destiny has the wind and the refs at that their backs and nothing can stop them.

This isn't exactly true though, teams learn to deal with the pressure of a potential cup win and the Oilers with "nothing to lose" now have something to lose again. Tons of teams have come back to make it 3-2 but not all the way back.
You obviously haven't looked at the odds because teams that go down 3-0 and force game six lose game six more often than not.

All the pressure is on Edmonton now. It was always going to be a series, it just happened in a way no one thought it would.
We got carried away at 3-0 thinking it was over. Our minds clouded, along with Canada's team. Went up 3-0 and thought it was just going to happen and the nightmare was over.
Just 1 goal, 1 shot, 1 game. All it takes, stay the #### out of the box and stop giving up shorthanded goals deflating the team and PP.
Something about winning a championship on the road. Taking the life out of a team and their fans, celebrating on their gym floor and locker room.
I remember when Steph Curry won in 2015 and when they went back saying it still smelt like champagne.
Reset, reload, and lets ####ing go. It's time for expletives Maurce.
