A lot of super negative takes from you tonight. Eat a gummy and chill out.
I missed the game. Does anyone have video?

Every goal (minus Henrique) and the Oilers acted like they won the cup, embarrassing franchise. Pretty clear to me that the Panthers were happy with the split and took the foot off the gas. I think by the Panthers losing the way they did tonight the they will be mad ready to play next game.

Burn the tape , don't look back Panthers!

They got sucked into exchanging end to end rushes tonite and couldn't execute defensively. I'm doubting that happens again

The Oilers were skating hard, will give them that. The Panthers definitely took this game off. I bet they play much better for game 5.

Don’t you think the Flames should sign probably Holloway first to a two year, 6 million dollar contract for 6 million (2.5M and then 3.5M) and give up a 2nd for him? If the Oilers match then offer Broberg a 2 year contract on the exact same terms?

Worst case scenario is the Oilers use 6 million of their remaining 10 million on two players and best case scenario is you buy low on a young former 1st round pick. If the Oilers match they have 4 million to sign 7 players and probably have to offload their 2025 1st plus other assets to get rid of Campbell just to field a roster.

I think moves like that can really bring our province together and let one of those players play on both sides of the battle of Alberta.

So I see Oiler fanboy Frank Seraveli has predicted that the Oilers will sign all 3 of McDavid, Draisaitl and Bouchard to extensions totalling $40,000 000. Now it seems like everyone is picking up this story and running with it. Could it actually be possible? Why would the glitter twins do that? Or is this just wishful thinking on fanboy Franks mind?

Imagine having 54.25M tied up in McDavid, Bouchard, Draisaitl, Nurse and Campbell.

This is why I hope the Flames target one or both of Holloway or Broberg with offer sheets this summer. Both are former high draft picks that have looked good these playoffs. Both could be had for a 2nd round pick for any offer between 2.29 and 4.58 million.

If the Flames really want Holloway for instance they could just offer him 4 million on a one year deal. No chance the Oilers can match that. What do the Flames care, they have cap space to burn.

Damn, I was hoping the Panthers would have finished it last night but looks like it'll be another day. Oilers might actually have figured out Bob.

To give you some comfort, did the panteros figure out skinner when they put 4 or 5 past him? Or did oilers make adjustments and buckle down and skinner had a better next game?

I thought the panthers were unlucky at the start, and then the game went away a bit. At a certain point, oilers wanted to pad their stats as usual, and to change the narrative about not showing up, and panthers just sort of played out the clock.

The difference here is that los panteros can afford a game like that; oilers can’t.

All aboard for the gentleman sweep!

No, I wouldnt want any of the oilers. Not even mcdavid or draisatl. They are not good.

Besides, they wouldnt fit in our current line up. Our top 2 lines are solid.

Some SN Edmonton shill with an article praising Mcdavid for getting put in a headlock by chucky, praising his leadership. The argument being there was a scrum and he ‘got involved’. Jesus Christ. There’s a scrum and he is standing there and did what every hockey player would do, didn’t even have a choice really. But gets owned by chucky. Such a leader. Mcdiver could sneeze and a sportsnet fanboy would write an article praising the timing of the sneeze.

What’s the use of being passive aggressive all the time? Flames are rebuilding like every team has to do at some point. Nobody is mad about it.
