Scrolling through social media you would think Oilers are Stanley cup champs

Won’t turn on sportsnet again until this series is over but their media cheering section is so pathetic and predictable you already know what their narrative is after that lopsided game. ‘The oilers have figured out the panthers?’ ‘This is a big momentum shift’. ‘Mcdavid and our boys are back, drool, drool, mouth breathe’ etc.
Nope. It was a desperate team at home down 3-0 against a team that didn’t match the desperation.
Please annihilate dumpsterville in FLA next game and shut that trash fan base and media machine up. I respect most NHL jerseys, but seeing grown men and blue and orange just brings to mind clown shoes and circus music.

Lol. The Oilers just manhandled the Panthers in a way they haven't been manhandled all season. If you think that isn't gonna get in their heads....

They have 3 more chances to put this away.

You're letting that fluster you?!

These guys are still as good as done. I'd just laugh at their misled arrogance.

Oilers beat the Ducks 7-1 in game 6 in their last series. Not sure but I don't think the Oilers were very successful in game 7.

I was totally okay with a Oilers win tonight. Feed them some hope before the inevitable heart break. I prefer watching teams win the cup at home.

Running up the score never plays well for that team in the following game.

And that would be even more of a reason to not let laying an egg and getting blown out get in your head. I don't think Florida is stressing too much right now.

I stopped watching after 4-1 but decided to watch the third and they didn't look good but they didn't look like a team rattled either. They just looked like a team who knew it wasn't their night but they still had three more chances to end it so just let the clock run out.

So why is it more of a reason? You kind of contradicted yourself. Florida has too many chances to make it right?

I'm pretty sure there's a ‘not’ missing from that sentence.

Game 6 vs Game 4. You lose game 7 you're done. You lose game 5 you still have two more chances.

Yes, I did say that I don't think Florida is stressing too much right now though which wouldn't be happening if they let this game get to their head.
