The Oil have nothing to lose at this point. Down 3-0 (soon to be 3-1), while the Panthers are heavy favorites given the first 3 games. Suddenly the Oilers blow them out, and the heir-apparent Conn Smythe winner is pulled.

This is the the worst case scenario for the Panthers holding a 3-0 (again, soon to be 3-1) series lead. The pressure definitely switches after tonight.

Florida has to reset and affirm that they go about business as usual. Win, hoist, and celebrate at home.

Whole lotta chicken littles in this thread. I’m not concerned. Florida responds very well when they have a poor game. They get two days in between to stew over the loss while the Oilers will think that everything will be easy as it was in this one and get overconfident.

Anyone who thinks Bob is rattled is nuts. He knows how to bounce back and has had experience to know that the next game is all that matters.

Florida got beat bad in game 4 vs Tampa and then proceeded to blow them out in game 5. They have been here before and have 3 chances to figure this out with the next game at home. I know we all hate the Oilers and would have loved to see them swept but it could be way way worse then Florida having a chance to clinch in game 5 at home lol

I think so, too. They have the ilk to get it done and have the skill and experience to respond appropriately.

Even so my point stands: this is a worst case scenario regarding what the Panthers could have done at this point in the series.
