We have a large collection of "meh" wingers. Why do we need more?
Debrusk moving to Calgary may have nothing to do with signing here. I will trust Conroy to do the right thing, and be patient with the rebuild. And I know, I know we will never rebuild. Yada Yada Yada.

Fair enough, I haven’t watched DeBrusk enough to be familiar with his flaws
I just remember how Mang earned his contract one year driving the net and going to the hard places, and how it stopped after he got paid.
I get where you are coming from. Even our shiny new toys are not wart free
Sharangovich is a good shooter and scorer but a huge minus player
We all know what we are seeing. Call it what you like, but most of the old core pieces are gone for younger players and picks. I think that buy in is a key factor. Maurice and Tkachuk have both said essentially that the way they play is hard to do, night in and night out, but they hope it’s harder to play against. That was a nugget of gold in my mind
Barkov does it. He is a leader and sets the tone for everyone. I think Lindholm can do it, maybe not at Barkov’s level because that is elite, but you can see the difference between Lindholm who is all in and Lindholm who is not all in. Same with Mang, in his role.
Lindholm did it when he had A+ linemates. Barkov does it always
Mang did it when he was energized by international play, and in a contract year
Huberdeau is clearly capable of being a point per game guy, you see flashes of it, but something has been missing
Honestly, it’s part having players who can do it, and the combo of coach and players that make them willing to do what it takes.
That, to me, if Conny can figure it out, is what matters.
Huberdeau got 115 points mainly playing with Bennett at ES and then obviously without him on PP1.
Florida picked up castoffs like Bennett for nothing and Forsling on waivers. Somebody figured out how to use these guys, seems to be working out ok for them
