Edmonton is a city that needs something, anything positive to happen. It can be a rough place to live, especially in the winter. Calling for fans to toss jerseys and riot? Come on. Be better. Mcdavid is one of the greatest hockey players in history, how could anyone cheer against him?
I feel like wayne gretzky at the salt lake olympics. The whole world wants us to lose but we’re gonna prove the doubters wrong.

This isn't about "Canadian Pride". Its a sports franchise and even though I live in Edmonton now I have always been a Flames fan and I cannot bring myself to cheer for their most hated rival.
If I want to have Canadian Pride, I cheer for them at the Olympics or the Worlds or whatever.
I am not a football fan, but I really can't see the English cheering for France in a World Cup vs Brazil because they are "Europe's team" - I would expect a lot more of "screw that cheese eating surrender monkeys!".
Maybe I'm wrong, and yes E=NG is fun but the Oilers do have a good thing going this playoffs.. and I want nothing more than to see Tkachuk chewing that damned mouthguard as he rubs Lord Stanley in McDavid's face.
I don't care who is American, Canadian, black, white, yellow, burgundy, whatever... I care that my most hated rival in the sport gets slapped back down with their whole "we deserve McDavid cause we ruined the other 4 first overall picks we had".

The whole Canada's Team thing has been a little over done and people can cheer for whomever they want. I also do know that in a hypothetical scenario if US based North American pro teams couldn't actually compete and win vs Canadian teams after decades, enough people would want the "World Championship" trophy to come home.
If UK based teams, German, French, Spanish teams or whomever couldn't actually compete for Champions league trophies, someone might root for it to come home.
I don't want Toronto to win and whoever wins, can win now. That being said, if Canadian teams just don't win and won't win, is there really a point in being a Canadian hockey team fan?

I cant stand the Oilers so that I can’t even watch them in the Finals . I’m enjoying looking at the final score. That’s the best I can do lol.

I'm actually hoping they target mcdavid instead. Draisatl is so big it will probably backfire. Mcdavid is a good easy target.

Stay the course, Edmonton are the ones chasing the series. No need to deviate from the plan. Go Panteros!!

Eff Drai with a mouldy Pineapple. The ONLY revenge the Cats need to exact, is on the scoreboard. Best revenge is winning it all.
