So if I have been scoring correctly, the list of players that will never get past Montreal are now:

Demidov
Lindstrom
Iginla

have I missed any?

Sounds like theres a lot of chatter in Sens world now around Tij as well. I still think they lean RD but wouldnt be surprised to see their likely list be

Levhsunov
Parekh
Iginla
Yakemchuk

I doubt they pass up on Lindstrom as he fits the profile of what they would be looking for. I don't think the injury thing is nearly the concern for teams that it's been made out to be by the media.

Man if Parekh somehow falls to us… that would be the dream.

Interesting. That’s the highest I’ve seen Hutson ranked.

If the draft followed that order until the flames first pick at 9th overall (unlikely), I would love to see the flames trade any combinations of Markstrom, Andersson, Mangiapane and Vancouver’s 2024 1st round pick to New Jersey and Buffalo in exchange for their first round picks. Then the flames could pick 3 times in a row and take 3 out of Iginla, Lindstrom, Catton or Yakemchuk… what an awesome draft that would be.

I'm not convinced the Blackhawks pass on Demidov. He and Bedard would be electric together for a decade. They can grab a good dman at 18.

I saw that Allan Walsh called that crap out on twitter and i must say i agree with him, its unprofessional and bush league to really make digs like this at the kid's character. This kind of stuff has a tendency to follow a player around as well.

Yeah that's one of the times I will agree with Allan Walsh...

Saying this about an 18 year old kid "All the offensive skill in the world, but they performed an MRI on his brain and the screen came up blank" is not okay.

That screams a team negging Demidov to get him to fall to them.

It was about a kid who is projected to go in maybe the 6th or 7th round, if he gets drafted at all...just completely uncalled for.

One could argue the better defenseman are in the top 10. The top 6 D in this draft are tier(s) higher than 18. They could use the 18th pick to a forward that fell.

I don't like the delivery, but I can appreciate meaningful criticisms as long as they don't come off as mean.

I find most public scouting reports are too positive and make every prospect sound like a potential homerun. Occasionally you get vague critiques like, needs to work on skating or decision making, but with no scale to describe how much of an issue it might be. They didn't have to be rude, but I can appreciate that they are at least trying to put some measure on the faults.

Demidov >>>>>everyone else.

Hawks need everything but locking in a top line pairing as Dynamic as Demidov/Bedard should be a no brainer.

Guess we will see come draft day, but I'd feel buyer's remorse if I didn't take Demidov at 2.

They may view that 1D as a huge building block though. And take a chance on a forward at 18, and high in next years draft. If they take a F this year and D next year, that D is another year away, when they already take longer to develop. Getting competitive by the end of Bedards ELC is probably the goal
