Back in the early 80s the teams who made the Memorial Cup could add a goalie on loan from another team in their league. The Lethbridge Broncos and the Portland Winter Hawks both asked Mike Vernon to join them. He chose Portland. Let me tell you, what a rude awakening it was for 11 year old me to move from Calgary to Lethbridge and to be bullied for being a Flames fan. Grade 6 was the worst year of my schooling. My hatred of the Oilers went from fun rivalry hatred to one deeply rooted from that very rough year. I genuinely hate the Oilers. Hate isn't strong enough of a word to use.

The best revenge against a unhinged team running around is keep scoring on them, and finish the series in Edmonton on Saturday.

Florida started running around against Vegas got whipped 7-2 and 9-3.

It's really crazy how satisfying these Oiler losses are at this point. Like it is honestly at or near the same level as a Flames win.

When you step back and look at it, the average occasional sports fan would probably find it weird, but here we are. Little victories count for something and currently the Jays suck, the Flames are a non factor for the foreseeable future and the NFL is months away.

Watching these bums get pummeled in front of the national audience is as sweet as it gets.

Yeah I grew up in small town Southern Alberta and Flames fans would get bullied by Oilers fans in school. Today Oilers fans are simply morons and mostly beat up each other but they really were mean spirited bullies back in the 80's.

Oilers have tons of bandwagon fans...80s they were popular, as the 90s wore on and into the 2000s they didn't have many fans outside of Edmonton. Now we have McDrai bandwagon in effect. Oiler games at the dome before McDavid had a handful of ashamed Oiler fans...not like the garbage we see today. Hold the line boys, when those guys leave it will be back to the way it should be.

Also more doesn't mean better...we have a stronger community.

They are Nickelback fans but we like Motörhead

Zero surprise. The only outside chance of a suspension was if Barkov was done for the series. Tkachuk does that to McDavid and he'd get suspended

IF you finish doing anything that may be questionable, make sure you just "finish Him".

If you risk getting suspended for a questionable hit on him, might as well make sure he is done as well.
