Ceci and Nurse get tough match ups. Ceci isn't good but he's better than Desharnais. Not a huge blow to the Oilers but it hurts a bit.

Feels like the energy from the crowd is just killed by the anthems, then you have to re-hype them again. Drop the puck while the crowd is at its peak.

Personally think that national anthems need to be removed from games.
The NHL is also the only league that I know of that does not start games on time. 7PM starts usually means a puck drop anywhere from 7:10 to 7:20.

Oilers confident they can solve Bobrovsky in Game 2 of Cup Final
The Edmonton Oilers claim they are well-schooled on the piece of hockey literature known as “The Book on Bob.”
Now it’s time to practice what they preach, beginning with Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday (8 p.m. ET; ABC, ESPN+, SN, TVAS, CBC).
The scouting report on Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky: shoot high. Indeed, according to research done by NHL.com...

Is it just me, or is Edmonton's media especially unprofessional? I don't know if I can recall a time when the Flames got shutout in the playoffs, and one of our media drew up a diagram of how to beat their goalie. I mean, for one thing, what kind of idiot thinks the Oilers don't already have this information? But also, it's just... weird. It's like some little kid trying to play Coach or something.

No... keep the player intros, but tell SNET to stfu during them and quit muting the crowd.

I hope the Panthers not only win but dominate from start to finish...after a 3-0 loss we get 2 days of how great the Oilers played and how lucky the Panthers were.
God forbid 3 days of....I don't even want to go there. Hopefully unlike past Oiler opponents the Panthers recognize what is at stake here. This game could be the cup...Oilers aren't winning 4 of 5.

In support of Connor the whole team will wear bandaids on their chinny chin chins. Nobody wants to skate alone on the big bad ice getting rubber rats fired at thier domes.
Such a terrible fan base those Panther fans and thier rubber rats.
Hey at least the rats are rubber ....the oilers have 2 live rats they can dress for every game and will ....I Mean come on signing those 2 put them so so far over the top how'd they possibly lose game 1 ???

As if "shoot high" isn't the book on every goalie in the league.

So this is neat... of the 16 playoff teams this season, only three did not dress a rookie on their roster for at least one game: the two teams in the Finals (and WPG).
Is it interesting that the two teams in the Finals are the only ones (ignoring WPG) who went sans rookie, or am I just bored?

Edmonton has no good rookies. Neither does Fla really.

I expect that the Panthers will be a lot better tonight, Paul Maurice is probably the best motivational coach in the league. They'll adjust.

They all across as fanboys trying to get in tight with the players, not professionals reporting or analyzing the product.
There's a desperation to be accepted as part of the team.
