As a huge Ricochet fan I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes. Top-10 in-ring talent in the industry right now, IMO.
I want to see him sign with NJPW and pushed to the moon there (his style would be so, so good with the current roster), but I definitely won't complain in the slightest if he lands in AEW.
The Alpha Academy angle is working out great. Lots of heat for those segments. It's going to be a hit when Otis finally turns on Gable and turns face. I think Otis reluctantly helps Gable (finally) take the IC Title off Zayn. Then Gable goes on a streak of wins via cheating or other nefarious acts. Then eventually it reaches a boiling point where Otis cannot take Gable's cheating and wins the belt off him.
I love how WWE is being patient with their feuds these days, and isn't in a rush to push the panic button and miss on an opportunity. At one point it was obvious Gable was going to align with the Creed Brothers, yet with how the crowd has been reacting that plan may have changed. The crowd loves Otis! Realistically he's been a favourite for years. He was just poorly booked, especially after winning MitB.

Biggest mistake with Ricochet was never giving him a mouth piece.
I think it would have been simple.
Turn Richochet heel, put an edge on him, and make him a Paul Heyman guy.
That doesn't mean put him in the bloodline, or team him with Brock Lesnar (though that could have been awesome to have Lesnar lawdarting people with Ricochet).
But Paul takes him on because the WWE keeps screwing him and screwing him and Paul is there as his advocate, the voice for the voiceless. Then Paul says he is doing this, to prove that he, the greatest advocate the world has ever seen. Can take anyone to the World title, even a little Red Roster like Ricochet, then the clucking sounds start playing.
BTW I shouldn't have to say I'm just kidding on that last party, but I will.

I do really miss Alexa Bliss, and not just because she's hot, or even a great wrestler. But she just sinks her teeth into everything and makes it work.
"Yeah Alexa we want to turn you heel, make you an evil possessed creepy doll thing and work with Bray Wyatt"
No problem.
I actually had my doubts that she would come back after she had a kid. She had nothing left to prove, and she suffered a couple of severe concussions thanks to Rhonda Rousey. I doubt she comes back full time, or even wrestles much, frankly because since she's been gone, the woman have gotten even bigger and faster, and Alexa is tiny.
Also I really like that Perez, Grace match at NXT last night.

Ricochet getting absolutely destroyed by Breakker as a final farewell... that first thud on the concrete (possible head slam too) and the sounds of being winded from that Mysterio-esque lawn dart to the truck, and then put through a windshield which seemed to be real glass...
Everyone on an expiring contract in WWE rethinking about going elsewhere now, Trips ain't messing around
Bron and Gunther are the future of the WWE. Put one on Smackdown, the other on Raw for the next 10+ years and you're all set. Even better for WWE is neither are the "movie star" type where they will seek to become part time wrestlers down the road. They can easily be the headliners (ala Cena and Batista) for however long they can go. Whenever either is on the screen it is "must watch" television.
Are they confirming the dirt sheet thing...or is this all a work.
Actually feels like the door isn't as closed as maybe people think. Between the angle with actually having Samantha Irving leave with him, and then the way he was destroyed it makes me wonder.
I feel like if you had him return at some point in the future against Bron he would be getting a massive babyface pop.
I would love it if they pulled a swerve like that, I even as WWE would pay him to show up at independents and New Japan or TNA, and build up a return as an angry Rocochet, where he bad mouths WWE where ever he goes.
But keep him under a hush hush contract.
Have him do bitter interviews with Dirt Sheets, post musings on X, etc.
Then have him come back and win a rumble, or come out of the crowd and kick the crap out of breaker.

The WWE missed a huge opportunity in the summer of Punk when he won the world title and quit, and they had him stay home for a couple of weeks.
He should have shown up all over the globe, with independants, ROH, New Japan, whatever, with the WWE title. Meanwhile WWE would hold a tournament to crown a new championship. Then after about 6 months later, Punk shows up in the front row to heckle the World Champion.

The same applies to John Cena when he was "fired" during his feud with Nexus 1.0 many years ago. They could have done the same thing, and make it seem like he was kayfabe fired. Have him show up in other promotions, or make media appearances outside the WWE. Pushing the narrative that he was done with WWE, and wouldn't be returning.
Instead he returned (ala Hulk Hogan as Mr. America) the next week.
The other thing they could do with Ricochet if he really is leaving WWE for their rival why not just go out and say that? Say Bron beat him down so badly that he quit because he was afraid of Bron and the continuous beatdowns. They don't have to mention AEW by name, but it would add an interesting twist to Bron's build that his rivals are running from him.
