I hope this means I don’t have to hear about McDavid’s lucky suit anymore since they lost.

So much copium huffing from Oiler fans. They act like Bob isn't part of the Panthers team. I hope Florida embarrasses them on Monday.

Broke up with my person today, sort of.

Hockey is just an afterthought at times like this. But boy, just having that little distraction to grab your attention and take you off the realness of life for a bit and remind you that there's still fun to be had in the midst of all the ####, it really helped.

I wouldn't have even cared if the Oilers won. It was just nice to have for a couple of hours.

I guess the bonus is we got the right result. At least something went "right" today.

Not a fan of the NHL having the cup on the ice before the game (bad idea and very tacky) but hopefully it’s the closest EDM will get.

Sorry to hear. Break ups are terrible. Still think about a significant other from 10 years ago.

Hopefully you continue to be distracted by hockey and other things and can move on quickly.

Been stuck in dumpsterville this werkend for son’s lacrosse tournament, nightmare scenario. I must have seen about 500 mcdiver jerseys today , hundreds of oilers car flags, our hotel adorned with oilers flags. Couldn’t watch the game as we played at the same time, but seeing hundreds of Mcdiver-jersey-wearing clowns sad tonight was absolutely satisfying. God what a great night.

Wait.... the refs?!?!

Edmonton got 5 pp. The refs could not have been helping McDiver any more and they still lost the game.

I said it a few pages ago, but I feel it needs to be said again.

Barkov is an absolute beast. He’s so smart with and without the puck. McAvi and Pissy are gonna have a tough time trying to generate anything in this series while he’s on the ice. Great hockey player

The guy is pretending to be an Oiler fan to fool the universe because when he cheers against them they win

this evening was the windup party for my mens hockey team

most of guys arrived early enough to catch the start of the game (and what a glorious start it was!!!)

i figured i should set the tone right away for the oiler fans on the team....
i made up some napkins (they are great at cleaning up greasy messes!)
i didn't want to run out of TP in the bathroom
and i didn't want the guys to accidentally put the trash in the recyclables container...

no-good by bc-chris, on Flickr

for anyone wanting to print off their own 'trash' can here is the jpg....
Spoiler!

Dallas and Vancouver both won game one, and were up 2-1 in each series. Game two is massive stakes. Florida needs to play better. Tkachuk needs to show up on the score sheet. I can't see the Panthers holding the Oilers at bay on the powerplay next game. Win that game and crush their spirits before they come back to Edmonton. There is a three day break between games two and three, extinguish any momentum before returning home.

Dallas should have won game 1 with a 4 minute powerplay in OT but didn't.

This series just sucks so much knowing that the only thing standing between Edmonton and the cup is the Panthers, propelled by generational star power the Flames gave them for an 8 year boat anchor and a bag of pucks. Have we as Flames fans not suffered enough?

For the Flames he is. He will waste the prime of his career propping up a losing franchise before being traded for some two-year fly by night Euro player and a 3rd in the last year of his deal.

Ah. So you're wrong, but you invent a future in which you will turn out to be right, as if that saves you.
