I don't like or respect a team that sucked so bad and was run so incompetently for so long that they wound up ruining several 1st round selections, and, more than 1st overall pick. The league literally changed the draft rules and created the draft lottery, because of the teams unhinged incompetence. The oilers should have been relegated, English soccer style, but instead the league made a draft lottery because of them. And then when Buffalo should have drafted McDavid, the oilers swooped in and won the draft lottery. It's almost laughable.

Ignoring the owner, his lawsuits involving charity, Kane, Penner and whatever that was. Ignoring people like MacTavish and Lowe, just based on hockey karma, this Panthers team needs to what needs to be done and dispatch this ill-conceived team.

The oilers are garbage. Their fans are unhinged psychopaths who would cheer on a team of rapists and pedophiles if they would win a cup. I have zero respect for that organization.

This is no surprise, they've been treated by the media like they are a dynasty for 14 years now ever since they got Taylor Hall with their first 1st overall pick in 2010. "It's not a matter of IF, but WHEN and HOW MANY."

Now that they have finally made the finals NINE years after being gifted McDavid these people are finally maybe gonna get what they've been predicting for a decade and a half now.

Sportsnet posted an article the other day and the headline was something like "How the Oilers built their Stanley Cup team", like they're some kind of brilliantly managed franchise who made a bunch of shrewd moves. When really, all they did was suck for so damn long that they were eventually gifted two generational talents due to pure luck and a fluke lottery win.

That garbage team wouldn't be anywhere near the finals if not for McLotteryball and Pissy carrying all the weight. Despite where they ended up in this year's playoffs, they're still just a two-man team that who fluked out with the easiest path to the Cup finals in decades.

Not just that:

- Vegas ####ting the bed the last game of the season and Chicago taking an unnecessary delay of game penalty that allowed LA to get a point.
- Demko getting hurt and Vancouver no showing the last two games of the series.
- Dallas blowing their load after going up 2-0 in game 4 and passing out the rest of the series.

I'd put the atrocious job the officials did in game 5 against the Kings but that probably doesn't matter anyway. The Kings and their goaltending just weren't good enough.

Based on the SN coverage, the Panthers should just forfeit the finals. Conner has already won the Conn Smythe. So sick of this. Might watch a disaster movie. Go Panthers.

Watching the pre-game and it's finally started to dawn on me just how dark this timeline is. There have been a few close calls in the past; Oilers in 06, Sens 07 (although I was rooting for them), Canucks 2011, Habs whatever year that was. But none of them really had a duo like McD and Draisatl. I have no doubt they are the favorite in this. I can't see McD pissing this chance away and like it or not as Flames'fans he really is the best player in the game. Guys like his show up when it matters most.

Bah, this whole thing sucks. Only thing we have to look forward to is the draft in which we got zero of the conditions to move up in any picks we got. Rick Ball leaving. No water. McD and pissypants in the finals. So god damn gross.
