Nice to see Theo Bair included. He's had a great season in Scotland.
I would have left Brym or Ugbo out and taken Jacen Russell-Rowe instead.

I remember watching that Gold Cup. It was great. I also didnt know anyone else that watched it, too.
The same way people argue that the CPL fans "are there" and that clubs just need to do more to attract them, I wonder if there are just a (smaller) finite number of fans invested in the game in this country and there's not much that can be done to change that statistic in a meaningful way.
I say this after being a regular on the Voyageurs board since the late 90's. Many of the people on my senior rec soccer team don't go to live matches or watch it on tv. They like to play soccer, but aren't "fans" of the game. That's just the way it is.

This is old, but Sportsnet has a deal with Canada basketball.
CBC covers Usports, Skiing, swimming league,
TSN and Sportsnet share PWHL rights
Sportsnet has Canadian open tennis rights, Canada Basketball rights.
TSN has CHL rights, CEBL (basketball), NWSL.
I find it hard to believe they are willing to pay for those random sports and not for Canada Soccer right now.

Cornelius, Bombito, Liam Millar, so good to see. This lineup is pretty much our strongest on paper!

I don’t know much about Bombito. Is he promising?

Big, fast, and one of the best passers of the ball in MLS at his position (according to an article on Onesoccer). Huge upside. Herdman played him as a midfielder in a previous camp and it was so obvious he was out of position and he didn’t do well.

These CBs can actually distribute!! So refreshing to watch.
Edit: but evidently struggle defending set pieces in the air.

0-0 at the half. A few fire drills on defence but no goals. One really nice chance at the end for Larin who put it wide.
I'm liking the pace so far but as expected the Dutch are in control.

Pretty decent half, to be honest. So refreshing to see Sinclair in goal (with all due respect to Borjan).
Canada could've been punished a couple of times, but they seem pretty confident and capable at the moment.

Pretty good half. Cornelius has been immense. Johnston and Bombito are struggling a bit on the right, Buchanan needs to help out a bit more. But Bombito is fast! I think Marsch sees him as the future of the CB group
Really like the Davies/Millar tandem on the left, this is Davies best role. Fullback with freedom to get forward and make things happen. Millar is relentless in his press and can back Davies up when he roams.

For Pete’s sake Davies you gotta close down. That’s why Bayern fans are so hot and cold on you after this past season
We lose a lot of defensive stability with Shaff coming on for Millar

Holy crap haha. Zator getting in. Still so weird seeing a guy I played with and against playing at this level.

Frimpong eating Davies’ lunch. Phonzie must be sick of seeing him after this year

Rough showing for Zator unfortunately. Keeps them onside for the 2nd and is beat to the spot for the 3rd.

Yeah keeper has to hang onto that ball though, imo.
This is ugly now

I'm not sure he was expecting it to come through. A lot of bodies in front...but ya, you wanna see your keeper hold onto that.
