Read the book a few years back; the series is decently done and sticks reasonably to the storyline - prob b/c the author wrote a lot of the screenplay.

Fun and well-paced.

I love watching older series, not super old series but older series. Right now I'm doing rewatches of

BattleStar Galactica - The first two seasons are still as good as it gets, even the start of the third series is exceptional and shows the worst of humanity as they recover from the year of living with the cylons. I'm about half way through season three, and I still chuckle at the "Cylon's have a plan". But the acting is brilliant, the battles are awesome, and they are so good with details as the number of surviving humans changes at the start of every show building a sense of jeopardy.

Jericho - What happens in small town America when America is attacked with Nuclear weapons. I'm only halfway through the first season, but this is such a well acted series, and they do a really good job building tension and fear, and the whole how is our town going to survive. Of course they need to ignore science in a lot of ways. After the bomb strikes, the town gets rained on that carries fallout, but they basically hide in their shelters and mines over night and the radiation is gone.

Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles. I just got through the first season of this show that was shamefully cancelled too soon. An amazing cast. The first season was a bit slow, but really ramped up in the second season. In the first season it was all about tracking "The Turk" a chess playing computer that eventually becomes skynet. Summer Glau was exceptionally good in this series, its a shame that she's pretty much retired now. But a great watch.

Watched WeCrashed the past few days. Decently entertaining and good performances by Leto and Hathaway.

I really enjoyed Sugar, I thought Colin Farrell played his role to perfection.

The show really should have waited five or so years to come out. It missed the TV revolution that switched from 23 one hour episode seasons on network tv to 10 or so on cable.

Garret Dillahunt and Brian Austin Greene of all people really stood out

It's because Anthony Mackie sucks at acting.

Whats good these days in the Sci-fi realm?

And is Game of Thrones still worth a watch despite the weak finale?

Anyone else watch The Sympathizer? I thought it was pretty good. Goes in a way different direction than I expected for being marketed as a spy drama. Just a heads-up because it got me twisted early: Robert Downey Jr. plays multiple characters.

Available on Crave/HBO.

Did you watch the expanse?

Also recently released 3 body problem is pretty good. I enjoyed it even there isn’t a lot of resolution at the end of the season. (It’s based on a series of books). I’m currently reading the books (on the second one) after watching the first season.

I worked at Canadian Tire for a few years in Auto Parts and 'Tires?'

Its a little too close to the mark.

Its not as bad as 'The Bear' which....I mean is actually really good but does induce anxiety, but 'Tires' is, while funny, also a little too close to the truth.

Like surferguy said, 3 Body and Expense, which are the best two I can think of.

Raised by Wolves (Crave) might be up your alley. Dark (Netflix) is amazing, I'm just starting season 3 (for the second time). See on Apple TV might be another, although I lost patience with it pretty early on.

The first season of Outer Range was great, kind of lost its charm in the second season, which I think may have come a more economical production during the pandemic during S1.

These are all very good suggestions. The only thing I'd say is 'Dark' requires focus.

Its a show that you decide to sit down and watch. You've got your beer, you've got your popcorn and this is your evening.

Foundation and Silo are two other Apple TV+ sci fi series I'd say are worth a look if you missed them. Both have another season coming.

Anyone watching Eric on Netflix.

It's an odd show.
