Parekh over Silayev all day long.

Parekh gives me Makar vibes, and I’d always take Makar over Chara.

(Though I’m sure neither will be there)

Parekhs defensive game is one of the worst I've seen and until it's fixed hes gonna get destroyed in the NHL.

Iggy junior won't be around at 9. I'm more confident in that statement as each day passes and we get closer to the draft. Its Iggy to MTL.

The wild card now is Lindstrom. If CLB passes on him I think he falls all the way down to 9th.
The only thing stopping that is if CLB take Iggy Jr and then MTL goes to Lindstrom.

Dreger said this morning on TSN 1200 in Ottawa that he felt Montreal was the frontrunner for Necas, #5 might be in play with some other assets coming back to Montreal with Necas. Necas and Nadeau for #5 would be interesting for Montreal.

MTL trading right out of the top 5 for Necas would be wild. Especially with all the smoke around Iggy junior.

As Pepper Brooks would say: " It's a bold strategy Cotton. Let's see if it pays off"

Trade speculation within the top 10 makes for a lot of draft day intrigue and excitement. It rarely happens, so sign me up for some trade movement to make things even spicier.

Anybody trading a top 10 pick for Necas would be crazy.

Montreal would 100% be falling into the trap Canadian teams always fall into when they are rebuilding of trying to accelerate it too soon.

Friedman on the Marek show with the direct opposite view of Montreal & Necas than Dreger. Says the Habs don't have what Carolina would want.

I've read the front runners are MTL, SEA, VAN, CGY.

Vancouver apparently has been negotiating long and hard for Necas but pundits don't think they can give up what the Canes are seeking.

To me. It boils down to CGY, MTL and SEA. With Seattle being the underdog favorite.

Seattle makes the most sense to me of those options. But that might be because I don't feel they're overly attached to almost anyone, so could do a variety of hockey trades depending what Carolina's after.

Friedman also suggested the Canucks couldn't do it. So maybe just Calgary & Seattle then.

Seattle hasn't really made a big trade move since coming into the league. Maybe it's their time to.

Hasn't been Ron Francis' thing, even when he was with Carolina

Necas to Vancouver or Seattle would be awesome. Keeps those 2 teams in the mushy middle while letting us tank away to get some stars in the next 2 drafts.

Vancouver is going to come tumbling down next season.

Why are you such a Necas hater? "Mushy Middle", like how does Necas make the Canucks worse if they were do get him?

They already have their stars (Hughes, Demko, Miller, Petey) and he is a great complimentary piece to add more offense

While Necas might not fit here in Calgary, he is a great player it seems. You just seem to be a huge hater for no reason lmao

I am not sure what Calgary would have that Van doesn't outside of the 9th overall pick.

I don't hate him, I just think he is an ok player that is not a fit for the Flames. We really don't need anymore wingers.

I thought Vancouver was coming down anyways, them making a hockey trade will keep them in the mushy middle. Necas won't really change the trajectory of that team. They came crashing down then the hot PDO cooled off, as we saw by their amazing 12 shot games. We tried to help those bums and they still screwed it up.

If Vancouver is after Necas, it must be that Lindy is going to market.
