Maybe everything just generally gets better?
Whenever someone tells me about a benevolent and 'All Loving' God I can tell right away they've either only read the New Testament, heard whatever was said at Church or...neither.
Because in the Old Testament God was a right bastard for a while there. And maybe some people argue that its a 'spare the rod but spoil the child' situation but...one would imagine an omniscient being would know better?
Considering how heavily edited the Bible is and how much Religions just love to lie, it surprises me that they didn't just leave those bits out.
