I'm not confident anymore that Florida can beat these guys. Let's see how will go the first game. I hope Maurice has some plans to beat the Losers.
If you can't score on PP, just shoot the puck hard that the Losers starts to feel pain by blocking the shots. Play hard and smart.
Treliving hopefully helped Florida by trading Sam and Matt and also removing Huberdeau from their roster.

One thing I do have faith in is that the Oilers are full of wimps and cowards.
If you start to actually get real-guy tough with them, they'll either wilt or cry.
I know the Oilers think they've figured out defense all of a sudden and it's just as simple as that, but their newly found defensive prowess or whatever hasn't been challenged physically, and Florida is full of tough forwards who will go to dirty areas and the Oilers just haven't seen that in any team they've played.
They'll also muck it up between whistles and get chippy. Dallas didn't do this once, which is insane to consider.

The Panthers should not change a single thing they have been doing.
I wanted Dallas to win, but watching them the series prior limp their way into the WCF, I knew they didn't have the horses or style to win.
Most of it was just hope that these teams would shell Skinner, but not a single team Edmonton played was dominant. LA was laughable, Vancouver somehow went 7 games.
Florida has been playing good hockey, and they play a style that is hard to play and play against. It seems like they have bought it in, because they know its how you win. They don't just shoot for the sake of shooting, these guys get to the middle of the ice and try to create havoc and overwhelm teams.
It is almost similar to how the Flames played in 2021/2022. They force you to defend, and keep coming in waves forechecking hard. Game 4 against the Rangers was a clinic, the Rangers literally spent the entire 2nd and 3rd chipping pucks out and going for a line change.
It's not going to be easy, because the Oilers are a scummy team who cheat, dive and whine their way through games, but the Panthers need to keep playing that way. Hopefully the floodgates open on Skinner.

I fully expect 2-3 key Panther players to be hurt for the rest of the series in the first couple of games.

WE need Sam and Matt to bring out the full ahole effect.
I expect that the refs have been given their marching orders and all checks have cleared.

Maurice gets it. He really does.....and when he states Rod Brind'amour is the best coach in hockey he's taken a page out of his book admittedly and uses the HELL out of it with his players
Take the good wit me the bad and just keep roiling. Give em love and tough love but be F ing honest and they're gonna give you all of their effort.
Badger Bob was exactly like that. Now you know why we have that 88 89 cup

Chucky is going to live rent free in Kane's head. I can't wait to see how many penalties he takes.

Mr. Maurice is the only coach in the top 10 all time wins that does not have a cup. Time for that to change.

Oh yeah?
Well McDavid is the ONE and ONLY son of the Hockey God who has also yet to win a cup.
Don't you think it's about time that the literal Hockey JESUS wins a cup? We've been living in a blasphemous timeline this whole time. McJESUS will save us.
Believe in him.

Not sure if this topic has been broached - do you think it’s bad juju to place a bet on the oilers as a sort of reverse jinx?

Global News has a segment on how Canadians coast to coast cheering on the Oilers.
Sickening.

My biggest concern is that Florida's style will be heavily penalized vs Edmonton.
They won't get away with playing their game as the Oilers will implement operation Dive/Whine/Protest and the zebras will fold to their will as they do.
Sadly I see Edmonton in 6 here.

Florida shutdown a really good PP in New York.
I was hoping it was Florida coming out of the east and I think they have the best shot at ending this nightmare.
