ES stats show the Oilers have been the better team. The Oilers PP has not been great in this series but the PK has been.
Dallas needs to take over at ES and score the odd PP goal, otherwise the ony hope is Oettinger vs Skinner.
Stars need to look at switching the lines up. Pavelski has been terrible, and I think he is holding Duchene back. Demote him to the 4th line but have him on the PP and see if that wakes him up.

Yeah. I don’t really care who your favorite team is if you’re nice. Foss is super nice and loves Chicago. Cali likes Florida. Cube likes Buffalo. Cool.
Jordan likes Arizona and makes fun of the Delta Center as “not an NHL arena”, hilarious. Vancouver fans who think riot jokes aren’t funny, also hilarious. ESPN is making a 30/30 about you.
It isn’t difficult to at least be neutral to others and not send private messages like that.

I didn't think it was either. He will play through it I'm sure of it.
Also think he will be just as effective too.

Dallas needs to wake as a whole. Just a meh team.
This is game 18 for them this postseason with a lot of aging players.

Then when I make a comment about Draisaitl diving like a little girl don't come at me with the comment " he learned it from you". You are the one that made it personal. And I called you out on it via private message. You started this whole thing so quit crying!!! Treat me with respect and you'll get it back in spades!!

And when you are on THIS message it shouldn't surprise you that most posters favorite team is the Flames and the most criticized the Oilers. You know, the Flames arch rivals.

Actually no, most of them stopped in October/November including the guy that was just complaining about CP. Also my post got lots if likes so it seems others feel the same way.

Thinking now about how co-habitation with rival fans can work..
I feel like these are easy, common sense rules of thumb that immediately come to mind
A) Don't pretend you're not an oiler fan if you are. Childish games deserve a fitting response.
B) Be aware of where you are and be able to take a ribbing (because you're on a rivals board after all.. not being prepared for that seems illogical)
C) If you're really about the community then show up in the tough times too, not just the times when there is something to gloat about or when you don't feel as vulnerable.
D) Not telling tell Flames fans how they can post on their own board. You're essentially a guest here that Bingo has graciously opened his doors to.. so post with that in mind? Announcing formal complaints to the mods as an OOT fan is the lamest thing ever.
E) Being nice is a bonus. See Foss' posts. He's the poster child for how an OOT fan can post on the board and be embraced by the community.
If you can accomplish the above, well I cant promise i'll be nicer to the oilers, but i'll be nicer to you.

But some of the line combos at ES have been good. Seguin and Robertson were decent without Hintz and better with him.
Stats are showing that Benn has been better away from the kids.
Pavelski is bad with whoever he plays with.
Hintz, Robertson and Seguin did not play much together until this series and the Stars seem to mix lines often. They should look at it again, it's not working.
Joe Pavelski has become the key player besides Tanev's injury. He starts to produce the Stars probably win, he provides nothing then the only hope is Oettinger stands on his head or Skinner stinks. Unless they demote Pavelski to the 4th line and get Duchene going. At some point, they need something from that line to win.
Marchment and Duchene have been on the ice for 1 GF each, both were away from their normal linemates and Pavelski stats are just terrible.

I know Benn is not the effective player he used to be, but where is the unlikable jerk that tormented the Flames, scored and took cheap shots to get guys off their game? I thought he'd get in McDiver and Pissy's kitchen with a good old groin spear and also neutralize Kane. Disappointing. I always disliked him and now even more so for playing nice with the no-goods.
Though as Dallas was the least penalized team this year, maybe DeBoer has him playing a different game. Can't say I've watched many Stars game this year unless playing the Flames.

Yeah there's another guy that makes life miserable for the flames and has been invisible against the no-goods. Jerk.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Savvy players (or ones with coaches who know better) know that touching McDavid or Draisaitl puts them in the box immediately. They won't play their usual chippy game against them like Benn normally plays.
Its why I figure if the Oilers make the next round, don't expect guys like Trouba or Bennett to step up and lay a big hit. Not happening.
And I can imagine this will frustrate a number of fans to no end.

I agree, IMO it's smart that Benn has toned it down. You can do that vs the Flames as their PP is terrible and often deflates any momentum we have in a game.
Oilers PP is deadly and when you see Leon flop on Suter and get the call 1 game after Marchment get a diving penalty for a play that really didn't even look like a dive. They need to play through this crap and hopefully the refs took note from last game of the head snaps all night.

No question about it.
If Pavelski shows up as the Joe we've known for two decades then it tips the scales heavily for Dallas.
This is the first time I can recall seeing him ineffective on the ice. The fact that it lines up with facing Edmonton in the WCF is nothing short of comically tragic.
I mean.. are you kidding me? This guy feasted on every one in the west for years. Now he's struggling to draw even against the oilers derpth?

1 goal and 4 points in 17 games, last year 9 goals and 14 points in 14 games.
Stars need Joe and Duchene to have a game here. I think they should add some speed and skill to that line if they won't demote Pavelski to the 4th.
