The older I get, the more I realize how unserious a team the Flames are.

Bennett was never great here though we saw him have some great playoff games.

He's nothing special in Florida during the regular season either. He's on a good team that makes the playoffs and that seems to be where he shines.

Obviously you're stat watching and it's true that points wise Bennett is in a great situation in Florida behind Barkov, when it comes to the regular season. He doesn't produce like a 1C and you still need to make the playoffs. But in the playoffs he does produce like one and I'd easily take him over a guy like Zibanejad who's a PP merchant, can't handle the grind and has been a total no show in this series.

The Flames got a second and Heinemen for Sam
The second was used in the Jancrock deal so that branch is dead
But Emile was used to get Toffoli who was then traded for Yegor and the Suniev pick.

Also if anyone deserves a Legendary thread it's Sam Reinhart. That trade with Buffalo blows the Bennett trade out of the water!

Why wouldn't we? he was the biggest derp in the league when he was here. King Derp compared to Taylor Hall.

Sure he is great in the playoffs but you have to make it to the playoffs first. He didn't help at all in Calgary. In fact you could say with his play, he was actively trying to help us miss it every year!

That was probably the start of when everything went wrong. Not only were two years of Monahan, Gaudreau, Gio, Tkachuk, Brodie, etc flushed down the toilet and wasted, as he also destroyed Bennett's confidence. Proabbly the most damaging head coach hire for the organization since Gilbert.
