Add that to the likely effect he will have on tyrants invading neighbors, and I don't think it's much of a stretch to say his reelection could be the end of the world (as we know it, at least.)

So, today is a very, very good day.

It is hilarious that a law and order country like America allows a convicted felon to run for the highest office in the land.

I was talking to a buddy of mine in the States, and he basically stated that this gives Trump a election narrative and its likely going to result in a higher voter turnout on the republican side, as they will see this as a politically motivated attack by the Democrates using the courts.

My buddy is actually a bit of a conspiracy nut. He actually belives that the moon exists but men didn't land on it.

but he's convinced that when Trump wins, he's going to basically go on a revenge tour, and we're going to see a US civil war in the next decade.

The cult members were never going to change their minds any more than the ones that hate him, I think this really hurts him with the undecided, basically the Republicans that dont much like him but dont want to vote Dem', this will hurt him though

I'm shocked actually. I just assumed that there would be a hung jury, then Trump would use that as a 'not guilty' chant every day along with his supporters.

Twice impeached convicted felon, also found liable for sexual abuse.

How does anyone support or look up to that piece of human garbage?

If you ask Ron DeSantis, no. We had a vote in a past election allowing convicted felons the right to regain voting rights, and DeSantis managed to crush it by forcing convicts to pay all their fines before regaining voting rights.

Good luck to Trump finding a way to pay his fines! Doesn't he still owe that lady half a billion dollars?

Yes, thank you.

The old quote still holds true: "People get the government they deserve"

There are a lot of ####ing political idiots in this country. Nobody reads, everyone votes from their "gut".

Well guess what, your "gut" has literal #### for brains.

Education and a responsible media would do a lot for this country, but that seems like a pipe dream at this point.

Trump Guilty is a headline that I thought early on in his presidency was inevitable, but as time marched on and all the systemic protections fell by the wayside I started to feel this day would never come.

He may appeal, he may end up with a nothing sentence, he may still win the presidency in November, but tonight I'm drinking a Yankee beer to celebrate.

And emissions were already trending downward due to other policies and initiatives that were already in place.

He said he was going to save coal jobs but I don't think he could actually do anything about it. Just another failure for his cultist followers to spin into a win.

I am not saying that Trump is an environmentalist or gives a crap about climate.

Not only was it COVID, he also hates windmills(they cause cancer according to him), he also brought back coal and tax breaks for dirty energy. Took away environmental protections like what is happening here.

I don't have a horse in this race, but didn't Trudeau reduce emissions during that same period that Trump did and he should also be commended?

Trump's biggest legal problem is he never listens to his own lawyers. Makes it difficult to represent him. That's why I think any appeal will be doomed.
