If Gudbranson can get 4x4, Gudas a 4m deal too, then Zadorov will get at LEAST a 5 x 5. A sucker will pay for it, maybe even 6 x 6. GMs drool over players like Zadorov when looking at his size, but you’ll see a major blunder on most games that could be behind the net. He does make it up with big hits, skating, and randomly going god mode once a blue moon. Far too inconsistent to pay him anything north of 5.5m, but I think a team would bite on paying him something in the 5s for 5 years and have him in the middle pairing until someone can take him over. As Bingo said he’s a #5 on a contending team.

Quite frankly I am ‘A’ okay with Zadorov getting a big pay day. Same for Lindholm, as long as they’re not with us.

We have seen guys like this. Guys like Ristolainen, Gudas, Nurse, or even closer to home Myers, get paid. So has Zadorov. And he knows come July 1st, there is a non-zero chance a team offers him a deal that is for more money than it should be for a longer time than makes any sense.

Get paid big man. Ideally by not the Canucks.
