Facebook Question For Those That Utilize Its Services

I'll start with a sidenote . . . I accidentally deleted the spreadsheet of names/nics for the CP group, I'll eventaully get around to fixing it and adding those who aren't up yet.


On that note, this would possibly be the first spam e-mail I got from
Facebook.

I got a notification that I had a friend request. I didn't know the name, so I went to see who it was on their profile. But the request was gone.

The message in the request reads as follows:

you are gorgeeous man do you want to get together let me know i will be on msn at (the e-mail address provided)

Naturally me being the most gorgeeous man she ever saw is not in doubt.

Now the name on the header of the e-mail is Natalie. But Facebook said "if you're friends with Emily"

I searched the name, and e-mail address nothing comes up.

I did a status check on the e-mail provided, and it's online?

This happen to anyone else?

Was this in your email? or actually on facebook?
If it's the first, it may have been email spam pretending to be from facebook and not be from there at all.

Yeah a guy at work got one of those today.

"Great, facebook spam" was his exact comment.

I use an hotmail address for Facebook that I dont use for MSN (though I will use MSN to check the email address cause it is faster then going to hotmail). Anyway, since Facebook got popular Ive had 3 or 4 'people' adding me to MSN via that address. I checked the email address the invites came from and they are obvious spam. Just a heads up I guess.

Actually with facebook I'm really particular about my friends, Myspace got out of control I had 200 friends 99% i had no idea who they were. It may just be some porn marketing site or something
