it is not a surprise that this game is going to overtime when looking back at the Oilers-Stats playoff history.

Todd Marchant's game seven winning goal in 1997, the Stars triple overtime series clinching goal from Nieuwendyk to sweep in 1999, and in another series where three games went to overtime.

I thought game 1 would be the Oilers' best chance to get a win - DAL has been off for a week. And that is how they've looked - like a team that's been off for a week. It's not that they've played poorly, it's just that their passing and timing has been a little off.

But if the Stars manage to pull out a W tonight, it is going to be a short series.

ESPN feed isn't much better. They've got Gretzky on the panel praising every Oilers play and saying, "hey they played a great period, they don't need to change anything."
