Good hire. Keefe is likely a really really good coach outside of the Toronto fishbowl and below a much smaller magnifying glass.

I think his speech is overblown. That team was wound up, players underperforming, bad memories of game 7, they probably don't need a speech yelling at them and throwing trash cans.
I saw a comparison from the Berube and his speech on Twitter a bunch, and its dumb. Just because he cursed people get excited and celebrating, and I think both are fine and accomplished what it needs for each team.
At the end of the day the players still need to get up for the game themselves, otherwise you end up looking like the Vancouver Canucks.

That tweet with the 2 videos was definitely click baity, but two former NHLers in Noodles and Rhett agreed that they'd rather a Berube type of rally speech over Keefe's and said those were important for them as players.

MLSE have money to burn. It's a hell of a lot better hire than say Travis Green and he should be an upgrade on Ruff. Perfect spot to pick because they should be prime for a rebound season even if they don't make any goaltending changes.
