I was livid.

"Oh but $50 ought to make that okay!"

I was so angry. I'm still angry.

Dude...I was concussed. I didn't know even what planet I was on.

I personally didn't take the money, I think my manager took it and put it into the Employee Entertainment Fund to put towards the next Birthday party.

Which is a whole other story involving me, a forklift, '9th Ave Beer Land' and the Police.

But I am glad that cooler, non-concussed heads prevailed, because I was furious. Because that guy? He had his own battle to fight. He shouldn't have done what he did but rectifying it wasn't my place. I hope he's had a long and happy marriage. I wish he hadn't slammed my skull into a bus repeatedly.

I am, by nature, not a 'fighter.' I dont engage in fights, I do not instigate fights, I try not to participate in fights. I have however been in many, all involuntary.

My primary 'fighting skill' is the ability to absorb obscene amounts of damage until the conflict can be peacefully resolved.

Relatively peacefully. Relatively. So....angry and broke.

My primitive mind can’t grasp these concepts. But there is one thing I do know – when a man like my client is assaulted at a bus depot, then he is entitled to no less than two million in compensatory damages, and two million in punitive damages.Thank you.

Sounds like Locke missed out on about $400k after legal fees. And before tip of course.

(Sorry troutman, it was low hanging fruit)

Firstly the guy who attacked you at the bus station should have been charged, it’s kinda crazy that he was just freely walking around after the fact but I guess greyhound gonna greyhound.

As for the bolded, we both know that hasn’t always been true 100% of the time but I’ll leave it at that.

The rest is probably pretty accurate though.

My father was assaulted by a passenger who smashed his face in with a Crown Royal bottle by a convict and then that passenger was back on his bus in under 3 months.

And my pacificity might not be true 100% of the time, but we both know you got me from behind and...what did I do?

The worst is the retail tipping, which is creeping at lightning speed into everything. Hell no I'm not tipping at places like Starbucks or Subway; they're already compensated for that work - it's called a wage. Someone made a good point on Reddit the other day which I myself follow; never tip on anything where you pay BEFORE eating / drinking your product.

Tipping culture is out of control on this continent and needs to just die. It's so nice going to places like Japan, Australia, etc. where it's just not a thing. Restaurants should just pay serving staff a living wage, drop the stupid requests on pinpads for retail, and eliminate tipping once and for all.

Agreed, I will still not tip if the service is ####ty. I will often tip if the food isn't great, but will always vocalize to the server.

Tips are also creeping up, 10% used to be a quick tip option but that is now gone.

I've been to some restaurants that 20% is the first quick tip option.

Every person who receives a tip is getting paid a wage..

But yeah don't see why you should tip a housekeeper unless she's an illegal and seriously undercharging you.

He's talking about hotels, I think.

I do tip hotel housekeepers by leaving cash on the table when I check-out. Since there isn't the same social pressure as the tip machine with someone looking at you I think they probably get way less tips, and that's a low-paying but very difficult job.

I like to tip 8% unless it is full service.

I usually leave $5/night for the days I actually have then make up the room but I generally keep the do not disturb sign up unless I need towels
