I'm pretty sure it's frowned upon. Any reputable casino will only accept cash.

People are dealing with their finances in this economy by not going to Vegas with toddlers!

No, Sigfried & Roy are dead, and the Mirage will be joining them this summer.

That’s a shame, and that new design is incredibly tacky.

My thought is that taking toddlers to Vegas is a worse idea than buying some firepit colouring and burning the 2200$ in your backyard. At least you could roast some weenies and put the kids to bed.

So it'll fit right in on the strip then.

I've had older kids in Vegas - tweens and up. They did OK with pool, shows, rides, bumper cars, top golf, food, etc. There's plenty to do. But they were old enough to leave in the room for a while if we wanted to gamble or hit a bar.

And the point that you can do the same stuff at places without the Vegas vibe is correct. Even around there - Lake Las Vegas is a nice enough resort, you can wheel into town if you want, but the strip isn't right there.

I suppose if you’re the kind of person who really needs to be in Las Vegas this badly do you need to take your toddlers? Get someone to watch them while you’re gone. Cost will be damn near the same and the stress is far less. If you can’t afford to have them supervised you can’t afford to take a holiday. It’s pretty clear taking toddlers to Las Vegas is misguided at best.

If it were me I’d spend the money on bringing my kids somewhere else. Vegas could still be fun for them but it’s pretty limited in terms of activities for kids. Not to mention it has become extremely expensive, especially for food over the last few years.

I must be kinda lame cause everything people are talking about as cool kid activities there sounds more interesting / fun to me than drinking and gambling.

Toddlers? I wouldn't. I have fond memories of Circus Circus as a 12-13 year old. But I'm old and I think Circus Circus sucks now? I also remember getting busted by my dad reading one of the many "flyers" available. Again, I'm old.

Only way I'd take my kids to Vegas is if it was a pit stop on the way to Grand Canyon, Monument Valley etc. Otherwise I just don't really see the point.
My family did this trip when I was 9 years old and it was incredible, still remember it to this day. Drove down to vegas for a couple of days, monument valley, grand canyon, into california, redwoods, disney, san diego, up to san fran, up to oregon and then back home.

There are lots of Family types of things to do in Vegas.

I highly recommend the Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor, the Mandalay Bay has some great attractions and...Hoover Dam is a blast. Cant recommend it high enough.

How is this even a discussion? Vegas has never been for kids, is this thread just a troll?

Right... but he's asking about bringing TODDLERS. Vegas is not a place for pre-school and under children. Especially plural. At least one in each hand then.

There is smoking in the casinos. There are drunks everywhere. You aren't taking them to any of the really cool stuff you've listed above. Even in the casinos you have to stay on the main walkways and not stop if you're under 21.

If you want to go to the pool, you can... but it's $75 to reserve a cabana. It's not like going to the wave pool.

It's sort of like - "Should I take my toddlers on a 10 day backcountry hike?" You could do it... but you probably should wait till they are at least a little older.

$75 for a cabana? In what year and at which pool? I haven't seen a cabana for under a few hundred at the resorts we usually stay at.
