Not sure I'd go that far. I do hope he cedes control of PP1 to the Sedins next year. PP2 would often look more threatening and that's what they took care of while Tocchet did PP1.

I thought Tocchet was supposed to be some intense coach. He looked like a beaten man behind the bench, and his team didn't even show up.

Then Tocchet is the worst effing coach in the world! They went 0-14 to finish the final 4 games in the series. You would bench one of your best snipers to lose the series?? hahahahahaha Well thats some great same game parlay for Tocchet!

It’s amazing that with how terrible the Canucks were in this series (I consider game 5 their only decent performance), it still took 7 games for Edmonton to beat them

While I agree that this trade will basically always be a win for the Flames, I still don't think Vancouver will lose any sleep over this even if they don't extend either of those guys (I think they'll re-sign Zadorov, Lindholm we'll see).
Only way I'd say Vancouver truly loses the trade is if they give Zadorov the bag and his production falls off a cliff, or if Brzustewicz pans out to be an all-star and our franchise dman and Hughes pulls a Chucky and decides to go stateside to play with one of his bros.

I think the funniest schadenfreude to come out of the Vancouver loss is how timid and ineffective their superstar forward was and instead of jumping out the restaurant bathroom window after that showing the Canucks are married to him at an 11 mil/year price tag kicking in next season.
Hughes also looked and played like a shrimp.
Nothing like betting on and suffering through the wrong core. We experienced that. It sucks.
