One of the things that pleased me most about the game 5 canuckleheads win was that it made the outcome options the best they could be.
1) Canucks win in 6. Flames get draft pick improved. Grease done.
2) Canucks win in 7. Flames get draft pick improved. Grease done. Team tired while stars rest.
3) Stink win in 7. Team tired while stars rest.
My preference is 1). It gets it over with and HNIC on a Saturday night? *chefs kiss*

You don't mess around with preferences when it comes to the Oilers losing, just like you don't say "yeah we could win in 5 but I hope we lose a couple so we can win on home ice in game 7".
The quickest path to the Oilers no longer having a shot at a cup is the correct path.
Here's hoping they can finish the series tonight, whoever starts for the Oil.

If Canucks win, will Maclean say “double or nothing” or lobby on air for a best of 9 series because oilers are better and deserve/Mavi earned that chance? “Doesn’t the universe deserve to see more Mavi?”

And pissy’s final contract year starts July 1 meaning they have to sign, trade, or walk him to UFA.
It would be hilarious if they signed pissy and couldn’t sign Mavi…but they would go to 12 skaters if they had to.
Most greasy fans would trade pissy if they could only keep 1.

It's hilarious, but I assume Edmonton is thinking Pickard is UFA this summer, while they have Campbell and Skinner under contract for a combined 7.6 next. They're probably going to be your guys going forward.
But it's still hilarious.
