From Prince Albert to Edmonton then to San Jose? I'd imagine Leon will run there on his own he'd be so happy.

If this is what Weekes was using eye emojis for, that’s very boring.

Saros is not on the block.

I mean, if they're looking to rid themselves of that contract, feels like something could be done here? Makes more sense to try him at C with Huberdeau than it does putting say, Duclair on his wing only to block younger wingers if it doesn't work out. Or even if it does I suppose.
As a Hab, KK actively refused to work on weaknesses in his game that the team identified, had a public temper tantrum when he was healthy scratched in the 2021 playoffs, and dumped on the organization on his way out the door after signing the offer sheet. Not sure if he's the same now, but nothing I've seen from him on the ice makes me inclined to want him in Calgary.

I agree he is not actively being traded, but I think he might be available if there is an offer they simply cannot refuse. Of course, you can pretty much say that about most players.

I don’t remember any of that happening and could find anything online about any of those issues, so I’m not sure how legit they are, but even so, when you consider his age and the coach/GM he had to deal with and the pressure of Montreal and all that, I’m not sure I hold too much of that against him.

He’s a project, but unlike a lot of projects, he’s young so you just never know when and how it could turn around. How many guys are 24 entering their 7th full season in the NHL?

I saw something on Twitter where the claim is the Canes do not plan to sign Necas to an extension. I could see him being a Flames target.

Sharks season tickets are not looking great even after Celebrini effect post lottery. They would pay a decent penny for Drai i think.

Screen grab below is of the season ticket seating available to me. Whole lower bowl is like this. Sorry if image isn't great. I hovered the cursor on a seat to show the price of $7,700 for 2 seats.

Now....timing seems weird for the Flyers to put this out there. Flyers trying to create some drama around Russian players in the hope that it will cause people to hesitate on Demidov and he falls to a spot they could move to get him

There was always something not right about Michkov's situation. With the suspicious way his father died and then signing an extension to stay in Russia for a few more years. Maybe my imagination is getting carried away, but I can't help but think he was given an offer he can't refuse, if you know what I mean. He is worth a lot of money to the KHL.

It's also weird that things have changed over two weeks so fast. Word was two weeks ago the Flyers hadichlov all sett to come over this season.

Elliotte Friedman on Friday’s edition of “32 Thoughts”:

“Pesce didn’t seem likely. They kinda told him what they were willing to do last year,” Friedman said. “I think it was in the (five years, $5MM AAV) range. It didn’t work. I don’t know that it’s changed.”

Friedman also believes that forward Martin Nečas, now a restricted free agent after completing a two-year, $6MM bridge deal, could have his signing rights traded this summer, saying he doesn’t think Carolina will do “what Nečas wants to do.”

I imagine Conroy and Co. will take a long, hard look at Necas. I've always been a bit iffy on the player, but if the price is right why not. The talent is certainly there, I just worry about his consistency.

Yeah, that was the rumour. It was something like Necas, a defenseman, and 1st. Some speculation was the defenseman was Pesce.

Flames have 19.8m in cap space and have 19/23 players signed.

If they wanted to, they could land any fish they wanted.

Plus if things are correct and they're moving Marky, that's over 20m in cap space

There are rumblings on twitter that Marc Savard might be going to Toronto.

Kinda of a shame after he finally made some changes to PP , got KuZ and started to see results.

Not a big loss. I figure he has enough rope for another year because he's friends with Conroy & Iginla but if he needed Kuzmenko to unlock his PP I'd argue he wasn't very good at game planning.
