If the only thing that was left of Tanev was a leg, you can bet your bottom dollar it would be out there making a game-saving block in the final minute.

He/it will never stop.

I'm not a dental expert but will he even be a bridge candidate with all those teeth lost?

With a NHL salary, I'd expect him to go with individual implants as needed.

Plus mouthguards are a concussion protection.

Discussion and Conclusions

There is mixed evidence regarding the effectiveness of protective equipment in concussion prevention
in sporting and non-sporting contexts. Mouth guards do not appear to prevent concussions, but prevent
other facial injuries in sports.

Its a fine line between "what a warrior" and "maybe he isn't the brightest guy out there" lol

But he has millions and can afford whatever fancy teeth he wants when his career is done.

He literally went back out in game 6 I think vs Oilers with one working arm and still blocked a few shots

Researchers discovered that mouthguards reduce the risk of concussion in ice hockey, according to a new study by the University of Calgary published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7345674/

Logistic regression analysis showed there was a significant negative association between the frequency of mouthguard use and the incidence of SRC (odds ratio 0.101; p = 0.041). Within the limitations of this study, these results suggest that mouthguard use may offer some benefit in preventing SRC.

Oh there is no doubt there is mixed science out there.

I guess we can pick our sides.

This one is going to 7. Even with Dallas up it's hard to predict who will win. Both teams are so strong.

I think Yelle, Russell are the only other Flames I've ever watched wrecklessly block shots like Tanev
