Default Palestinian 2 state solution: Hamas gets Gaza and Fatah gets the West Bank

Well it looks like within days we will have our newest terrorist proto-state.

Analysis: Hamas's Gaza and Fatah's West Bank

Unless the fighting stops in the next day or two, the entire Gaza Strip is likely to fall into the hands of Hamas. All Fatah can do now is vent its anger at the remaining handful of Hamas representatives in the West Bank. The majority of the Hamas leaders in the West Bank are in Israeli jails and the Islamic movement does not have a strong military presence there.

Amazing how food and medical supplies can't make it through the Gaza boarder yet there seems to be plenty of bullets and explosives.

"Palestinian Foreign Minister Ziad Abu Amr blamed the clashes on pressures imposed by external forces. "If you have two brothers, put them in a cage and deprive them of basic and essential needs for life, they will fight"
and use the clubs they smuggled into the cage.

"claiming they had summarily executed fighters" - IIRC wasn't the first act of the pro-Hamas supporters in Gaza to pull the Fatah Gaza head of security (Arafat's cousin?) into the street and shoot him?

It's only gonna get worse.

Hamas hails Liberation of Gaza

Hamas militants have hailed a series of military victories over rivals Fatah in the Gaza Strip as a new "liberation" of the territory.

Fighters seized Fatah's Preventative Security building in Gaza City and the intelligence service headquarters, and overran the town of Rafah. A least 20 Palestinians died as the latest battles raged throughout Gaza.

Peace and Love reigns.

Its only going to get worse.

Imagine the innocent people living there.

Read an article this morning about thousands of Palestinians marching to protest the war...and Hamas militants started firing into the crowd killing 1 person and injuring a lot of others.

This is exactly why the international community (lead by Canada) banned funding to the government when Hamas took over. Imagine what they would be planning if they were getting their 25 million a month cheque.

I heard on the radio the the Fatah party officially disolved the government today. It dosen't mean anything, but interesting that in the middle of a civil war, they're fighting a propaganda battle for votes.
