Oilers lose at home in Game 6 in quad OT after blowing a 4 goal led. McDavid plays 110 mins!
It would be awesome to see jerseys thrown on the ice in typical Oiler fashion

We can't chance the Canucks going to the finals. We are ALL Stars now!!!

Besides watching those riots after the Bruins win was almost as good as watching the series! Watch out London Drugs on Hastings!

VAN could have swapped out Silovs after things got rocky in game 2 and media questioned continuing with him but stuck with their guy and that vote of confidence paid off.

Now if Pickard doesn't work out you have to back to your start who's been picked apart by the media and doesn't have the confidence of his team either. Great situation to be in.

They still have this guy

The Oilers look as if this could be it, but caution against celebrating their demise too soon. The media would salivate over the chance of a guy like Pickard coming in and winning the series. It's not at all likely, but with the way the league goes, who knows anymore.

I'm worried that our assumption the winner of the other Western series walks over this series' winner may not be relied upon. Colorado looked gutted by the Nichushkin news in last night's game, Toews, their second best dman was too sick to play, and Georgiev can go full sieve mode without warning.

Meanwhile Roope Hintz was injured and missed some time, Tanev left the game after he was hit, and Craig Smith was also injured for the Stars. I'm cheering for Dallas because I think the Avs are a bit too much like the Greasers in their lack of depth after the top guys, and Oetinger is clearly the best goalie left on this side of the bracket.

Hopefully whoever wins in the east doesn't matter because our collective nightmare is done. Can we please have Demko back in this series soon?

Maybe, but lets be somewhat honest here.

The Oilers had a gaudy shot count in the third period of the last game. But in terms of quality chances, they didn't have a lot, nor did the Canucks. But the Canucks did a good job of not allowing a lot of second opportunities and boxing the Oilers out of the middle.

Meanwhile as the Canucks you know that the Oilers with their keystone cops defense, are going to give something away or worse leading to a 5 alarm chance on their shaky goalie.

I expect that the Canucks are going to have to weather the storm in the first period of tonight's game. Hopefully they pop something early past Pikard and the Oilers lack of character comes to the forefront.

Zadorov should “bench” McDavid tonight

I having been cheering for draft picks this entire time. If I could photoshop worth a damn, I would be cheering for a jersey that is tagged with "3rd round pick to Flames". Next round it will be the same but a Stars jersey. Unfortunately 2nd round pick lost last series.

The bad news for Edmonton is that any bump in the cap is being taken up with cap overages from this year. The good news is in the following year, when Draisaitl leaves, they will be lush with cap space.

still boggles the mind they wouldn't give the first for Tanev but traded it for a forward they won't play because its all McDavid all the time

They were willing to give up their 1st for Tanev, but they wanted the Flames to take Ceci's contract along with it. The Flames did right and said no.

Soucy was attempting to hit the chest, but McDavid falls into his stick. Not intentional. Somehow he's the only one with a suspension. Absolutely crazy.
It is baffling that looking at the entire sequence, that is what they took out of it.

Ya, both the Oilers (lol) and the Leafs (lol) have to be questioning not ponying up for Tanev, who has been incredible for Dallas. Toronto especially, since if they picked him up, they might have got him to re-sign for less than market value.

But if he hits the market, someone is throwing $$$ at him, I think.

^ Friedman has said on numerous occasions he expects Ottawa to do just that. We'll see.

Personally, I don't know Dallas' cap situation but I'm betting they'd love to keep him.

Leafs have to be questioning not ponying up for Zadorov too. Leafs had two cracks at a Flames top six dman and whiffed hard both times.

Cody ceci’s contract is worth another first. Trade would have had to have been 2024 1st and 2025 1st and Cody Ceci for Tanev.

That alone is a mine of gold but the full clip is somehow even better. On Hyman not getting fined or suspended for cross-checking him in the face:

"I guess I don't make that much money for the league."

I fully expect Ottawa to do that. That is probably when Pinto becomes available for the Vancouver 1st round pick as they would need to clear out cap room and would not be able to afford him. Ottawa will make some significant changes this offseason.
