Imagine fellatio as performance art by staples. This is it…all of the 1980s jammed right together. He even finds room to squeeze in:

If anything, it's nice to know that all of BC now understands Edmonton is a garbage team of crybaby divers. 2 more wins and we can go back to hating the Canucks, but they have a job to do first.

I disagree. IMO, the best way to make a goalie comfortable is with plenty of shot volume.
I think the best way to get in a goalie's head is to minimize shots, don't let him feel the puck, and wait for high-danger, cross-crease opportunities. Nothing is going to rattle a goalie more than looking up a the scoreboard and seeing 2 goals on 3 shots.
Goalies get comfortable by making saves and feeling the puck. Peppering them from everywhere only feeds this. And IMO, this is part of why it seemed like we faced allstar goaltending every night, under Sutter.

Oh definitely. I anticipate the wonder twins will both hit 35 min tonight. Oilers are desperate, and it's the only move they have.

100%, just pass it around and raise his anxiety levels, make him constantly have to think about the next pass

I guess one can add Edmonton to the list of teams (New Jersey, LA, maybe Colorado, possibly Toronto and Ottawa) that will be looking to trade for a starting goalie this offseason.

Beat me to the punch; came to say the same thing. Hard to get a feel for the game if you don't see anything and then deal with a partial breakaway out of nowhere.

With 9 million in cap space and 15 players signed, they're going to have difficulty getting a starting goalie in free agency.
I mean the most likely thing to trade is Jack Campbell, but unless the Oilers dramatically bribe a team, nobody is taking on his starter level salary hit.
With the Oilers set to lose guys like Foegele, Henrique, Janmark etc, they are going to need to focus on improving their forward depth, and that's going to cost money. The Oilers should almost be breathing a sigh of relief that Holloway and Boingberg haven't done anything to earn a increase. And the Oilers don't have much cheap good talent coming up to help them out.
Also because Draisaitl's contract is ending at the end of next year, and he's probably going to be looking for a significant raise as the cap is going up, and Pissy probably considers himself a top player in the NHL, any cap savings have to be put towards an honest effort to sign him.
Don't forget that Bouchard's contract is coming up at the same time, and though he's a RFA, he's going to want top pairing money in exchange for any kind of contract of length.
Right now a legitimate starting goalie is out of their reach unless they can move a guy like RNH, or Nurse. Nurse is a disaster at 9 million bucks, and RNH isn't a guy that inspires much in the playoffs.

It is weird to me the Oilers don't play Stecher.
He certainly isn't a savior, but I think he is a decent depth dman.
Just another reason why the Oilers are no good.

Normal advice is to "wear your heart on your sleeve..."
Oilers recommend to sexually abuse the logo in front.

You said it better than I would have.
But yeah that's an awkwardly worded "man up" slogan.
Sounds like a hazing ritual ... pre shorn.

I get it, but I'd capitalize on his being nervous. Like when a backup enters the game, you pepper them.
