Did I sleep through Pacific second round and Oilers advanced already?

This has been a clinic road game from Dallas.

Dallas is an amazing team, every bit as good as the Avs

Sounds like primitive nonsense. At least what they cut for the goal song.

It's one chord and dumb chanting. Not sure how any one finds that engrossing.
Well, you're in the minority on this one. I'd pay real time money to watch someone say anything bad about Pantera in Texas. If it wasn't for their influence back in the day (Modano era and when Pantera was peak global touring monsters) the fanbase doesn't grow.

Another one of my favorite Metal Bands does the Washington Capitals amp up song. Darkest Hour.
Both are great.

If the Stars win this series, I think you can look at Chris Tanev (and the price they paid) as pretty much the turning point for Dallas.

What he’s doing for them is the difference in this series so far in my eyes.

It’s still wild how underrated that guy was leading up to the trade deadline. I still believe that if he wants to play 4 more years, there will be 4 years and $20M+ on the table for him somewhere in this league (and maybe even here…if he wins his cup and just wants to come be a leader).

(Not saying that will be a good contract, but I think he’s earning himself another rock solid contract for himself)

Tanev was a Beast tonight. It was unreal how he played Colorado's top line and still made amazing passes for offence.

All these stupid GMs sitting on their wallets with Tanev available
replace Cole with Tanev
replace anyone in TO with Tanev
Edmonton? needed another forward to hardly give any minutes rather than give the first for Tanev
Christ sake

Maybe they are too close to it but it always seems strange when fans seemingly know better than people getting paid millions to do it. Tanev was an absolute bargain for Dallas and they were obviously the highest bidder.

Pff...I dont even really know what else to say.

Yes. This.

A healthy Chris Tanev is pretty much an immediate 'plug-and-play' #1 defenceman.

JAKEY O playing out of his mind is great. I love watching him give someone else absolute fits bc they cannot score

If the AVS don't figure him out quick it's over but with that being said are Dallass top guys going to be able to continue every game at this level .

Benn disappears as does Seguin when it matters most and we've seen this and Pavelski whose always been clutch doesn't seem to be making a difference.

Man a healthy TANEV makes a world of difference for a team doesn't he? He's an absolute beauty ol snaggletoot

Bargain Bin Boston Pizza is the worst though. He knew what Tanev is and didn’t make the deal.

And he got the result he's much accustom to.

I'm a mad hater of Treliving, so I'm glad that bit him in the ass.

Agree with all the Tanev comments. He’s a guy that you can count on to come in and be a positive. Sometimes adding a top 6 forward or a Dman who is expected to produce right away doesn’t work - just chemistry. Tanev - it doesn’t matter who you play him with, he does his job and gels. A perfect TDL add.

Dallas is mostly going with 5 defenseman. Tanev is arguably having as big of am impact as any trade deadline acquisition. If they don't make this deal I doubt they survive Vegas. Lots of series left here. Evolving hockey said Tanev would get 4 years at 4.6 as their projection. I think that's going to be pretty accurate. Hope to see him lift the Cup this year.

I love Colorado. But Tanev might be the most underrated player of all time actually.

I thought it was a terrible signing, I wasn’t familiar with his game. It’s really a win win for this series.

Tanev is going to be the most sought out free agent after this series.

And I hope he gets PAID. Couldn’t happen to a better guy.

Really impressive work by the stars.

Team looks like the full package. Unlike some fraudulent "cup favorite" teams out there.

Unbelievable he wasn't viewed as worth a 1st+

A team-altering piece cost just a 2nd rounder and a prospect... wild.

Was reported that a 1st was on the table from another team, but calgary liked the D prospect better. Could be fabrication or maybe the other team was Edmonton.
