Salary cap of $30 million but each team is only allowed “3” marquee players …
So they are expecting 3 guys to make 7-8 million each with some hope to steal some talent I guess. Maybe a few mid guys jump at the chance for a payday / retirement payday

Good look making this profitable or anyone to care

So, it'll either be boring as s4!t or football scores. I just can't see it taking hold. The players will all be those who are allergic to defense or not good enough for the NHL.

			Lots of questions here, including:
 * Who's paying big money for tickets to 24-minute games?
 * Will there be TV rights?
 * What venues are these teams going to play in?
 * Why 16 teams? That seems overly ambitious. Why not 6 to start like PWHL?

I remember about 20 years ago or so when the WHA kept trying to get back off the ground. I put this in that category, though the Saudi money might make this a reality.

Not sure how you get fans to drive to a game, pay for tickets, food, beer etc to watch 24 minute games?

I was about to say "But Why" then I saw Saudi money.
I look forward to see McDavid getting his $19M payday, and Jagr returning to North American

Only thing I can think of is they do like 3 games back to back, either a mini series against the same team or a "homestand" all in one night.

Either's weird, but at least fans might get more value.

They sort of already had one of these leagues? Wonder how they differ.
I saw it on TSN once. The players were former NHL'ers who had a cup of coffee in the show, or guys who played Junior. The coaches were all former big-name players though like Ray Bourque.

edit: the league is called 3Ice
https://www.3ice.com/
edit 2: Just looked at rosters. Bartkowski and Sieloff play in this league. ha ha

Am I the only one who doesn't like 3 on 3.
Always feel like there is too much space, isn't physical and some players take their time far too much in fear of messing up.

No you're not the only one. 3 on 3 sucks.

I prefer 4 on 4 since it can keep some physicality/checking instead of just being keep away.

			$30 million. Rosters of 15?
Assuming this actually goes forward, I'd be very curious to see the type of player this attracts.

Is anyone really chomping at the bit to see Thomas Tatar play 3 on 3 hockey?

4 on 4 is much better, like during the 95 lockout

			Sounds dumb.
It reminds me of a few years back when someone or some group tried to get a pro summer league going. Having said that, it would probably be better to do something like this in the summer than compete directly with the NHL.
