I looked last night, as I said. Maybe there’s been a crazy run on Oiler tickets since then.

Just need these teams to have a long series where they beat the #### out of each other.

I cannot choose a winner. This series is no good, other than the fact that one of them will be eliminated.

The winner can go on to have a good old round 3 hammerfisting.

I hated the Canucks far more than the Oilers during my 20’s and more passionate time as a fan where Flames wins and losses had a significant impact my mood. Now that I am 40 I don’t hate the Canucks nearly as much as the Oilers today and fully cheering them on this series.

I’m hoping for the Canucks to sweep. Then they can get swept next round

Yeah but I hate the Canucks just as much.

As a proud life long Flames fan I just cant wish anything good for either of those organizations.

I also moved to Victoria almost 5 years ago. Being surrounded by stupid Canucks fans on a daily basis obviously fuels that Canucks hate.

The Oilers and Canucks suck.

The war of the turds. Beat the #### out of each other. Hope it gets really cheap and brutal out on the ice. Bring on some hate so the winner limps into a solid smashing in round 3.

Way too many people here haven’t experienced it, which I’m honestly jealous of.

You’ll never hear any Flames fan say “well, this version of the Oilers has no one I hate, I don’t mind them.”

In BC they’re worse for that loser team.

SCENE FROM PREGAME IN OILERS’ LOCKER ROOM

KNOBLAUCH: Okay boys, remember to back check and keep…
(CoffeY barges in)
COFFEY: Hey—I do this, remember. Go play with your whiteboard. Okay guys, remember your assignments.
Evander—crosscheck Hughes into the boards whenever you see his number.
Corey—You know the drill; “accidentally” fall on their goalie whenever you’re near the crease.
Connor—Keep up the grabbing the stick and falling. It worked against LA; it will work here.
Leon—Same old move—stick between their top guys’ legs then hit the groin hard.
Darnell—slash Boeser’s hands and wrists whenever you see him.

Everyone else—if the game’s close in the last 10 minutes, when a Canuck checks you, yell and fall down and then stare at the
ref. They’ll give us the call—they always do.

Proud of how we play the right way, boys!

This is me too, however the Oilers still impact my mood.
I can watch any other playoff series in a casual hockey mood, but as soon as I turn on any Oilers playoff game I get seriously angry when they score/win.

I was actually surprised how much they bothered me in round 1 and I had to stop watching games because it just wasn't worth messing up my mood.
I just hate them so much, I can feel the dark side consuming me.

I spent my childhood in northern BC and was born a Flames fan during the height of the BOA.

Ever since moving to the lower mainland for high school, I've been dumped on relentlessly and fought back as a one man army.

I've despised the Nucks mostly due to this history and in past years, when I'd tried to not cheer their failures (let alone their victories) I could never do it.

But something changed this year. I always liked Tocchet as a player and I enjoy listening to him talk to the media as a coach. This is the most likable roster I've seen them ice; their transparent reactions to the fans in game one was beautiful. Throw in a couple ex-Flame darlings and the recipe gets a little sweeter.

And when Boeser tied it up in game 4, after the terrible couple years he went through, I shocked myself when I stood up and yelled. That was a yell previously reserved only for the Flames and Team Canada.

I've suffered a lot of loss in the last decade or so and I find myself tearing down old walls and cheering the human element of sport more and more. It was weird at first, but it's actually kind of...nice. The chip isn't completely off my shoulder but it's a lot lighter.

I just have to avoid Kris Knoblauch's hiring press conference video so I can hate these lotto losers in peace.

Yes, yes but I think what the Public is clamoring for is Speedy Glass' position on this matter!

What does Speedy Glass think??

I loathed the the Kesler/Bieksa/Burrows era Canucks. The Oilers really didn't have too many ######bags from what I remember and the team was bad so even though I still wanted the Flames to beat them I didn't get irritated when they didn't like I did with the Canucks.

Now it's the other way around where I can't really think of a Canuck I hate and the Oilers are full of unlikeable ######bags.

You could literally swap the two teams in the first paragraph and that was the 1980s. You could throw a few oiler names in there.

Boeser is definitely a guy that’s easy to root for
