Well, I just looked out (I'm in the Franklin industrial area) and the ground it wet but it is not currently raining. The sky is dark, the wind is whipping pretty good, and I just received notice from the weather applet on my desktop that the thunderstorm watch is now a warning.

Prior to today I had never seen this icon on Environment Canada's site:

Funnel Cloud

(It was there from 3:00 to 3:08)

WHOA.

Did anyone else feel that?

My entire building shook from that thunder. There are particles falling off the ceiling. I thought something fell off the crane downstairs. Unreal. If this passes over, it could be a big one.

South East. Corner of 84th street and Glenmore Trail. 84th street is the city limits.

I looked out the window and we're only getting a little bit of rain, it kind of seems like the thing has passed me over, but that thunder was loud. Looks to me like it's going right over the city.

I just said to the guy beside me, "I don't know if that is furniture rolling on the floor upstairs or rolling thunder."

I guess that was the latter

It's starting to come down harder now out here on the far east side of the city, so i'd say that it will be passing over the city very soon...and just in time for the downtown afternoon rush.

It isnt the same type of system as last week. Pretty unlikely we will see anything close to that tonight. Actually, very unlikely.

I think Mother Nature is watching me post in this thread, and changes her mind right after I post.

The Watch is back on!

The warning is over and I suspect the watch will be over soon too.
