Anyone know what the odds of the draft order staying the exact same were?

Someone clarified that winning with another teams pick counts as a win. So we’ll have to settle for Hagens, McKenna, and Joe Iginla at 2

I don't think so.
Crosby was putting up big numbers, winning and that was during a low score era.
Imagine him at 22 right now. He is putting up 150 points and winning.

Flames muck along, never really contend/have maybe one or two decent years capped with a playoff fail and then do a painfully slow "retool" and have really nothing to build around yet. Hopefully they can really stick the 9 pick, was hoping maybe the lotto would bail us out a bit

Flames locked in with culture of winning.

I'm just so relieved we didn't get bumped down a spot or two.
I'd be pretty content with anyone in that 2-13 range (not named Silayev), so that leaves us with a pick between at least three of them depending on what the team's ahead of us do.

Well, that's not a surprise at all.
1) because the odds were against us
2) we're the Flames, even if the odds were for us it wouldn't have happened

The lack of faux outrage at the results is quite shocking

The announcers were hilarious. There's a generational player every year?
Then none of them are generational, by definition.

Number of non-hockey fans in Bay Area reaching out to me about Celebrini is crazy. Draymond and Kerr pumping the Celebrini family tires. Ticket sales should explode which is good because the shark tank has been a morgue this past year.

I can't see Ottawa not gambling that they will have better season next season. Especially after the frustration expressed by some of the players at the end of the season, it would send a bad message to them if they forfeit this year's pick. It would basically be telling them they anticipate finishing worse next year.

No kidding lol.
Smith and Celebrini are two generational forwards? News to me.
They'll be good, but lots of teams have players of that caliber in their top 6.
The only thing it probably does is get SJ out of the ####er, and even then it will take time for them to develop.

Man I'm going to be sour when the Habs draft Iginla.
I hope the player we end up is better. Cause that will be hard to swallow for a while.

I don't see it. They will go Lindstrom. If he is gone I think they will go Catton or Helenius. I think they are targeting a C.
