His foot is off the ice before player #4 (in this picture) touches the puck over the blueline. Not off side.

You can make a case for too many men though.

his foot doesn't have to be on the ice...should a player just jump every time a player enters the zone and be onside?

standing beside the goalie? just jump and take the stretch pass

His front foot was on the bench. His back foot was off the ice. At that point, he's on the bench (and thus, not off side)

disagree, so just hang one leg and 90% of your body out all game...you are on the bench apparently

not to mention the other player is already well into the play

I think his foot was still barely touching the ice when the puck crossed, and really it shouldn't matter at that point because as long as his body can possibly interfere with the play (which it could have at that point) then he should be considered offside.

This is the official wording

Quote:
If, during a delayed off-side, an attacking player in the attacking zone elects to proceed to his players’ bench (which extends into the attacking zone) to be replaced by a teammate, he shall be considered to have cleared the zone when both skates are off the ice and the Linesperson judges him to have left the playing surface.
To me he's still in the play and I wouldn't say he's left the playing surface.

And if it's not offside it's clearly too many men, because there is no way the guys on the ice are as involved in the play as they are in that picture if the guy coming on didn't jump on way before that guy left the ice.

Wranglers are 0 for 9 on the PP this series and 1 for 14 in the playoffs. Get one on the PP and maybe there is no need for OT.
The PP needs help with zone entries. Maybe Brzustewicz? They are already dressing 7 D. They could play him sheltered minutes.
Alternatively, play 6 D and dress Rory Kerins. He was the Wranglers top PP goal scorer in the regular season

yeah yeah, if they only played better and scored more goals getting screwed by the league/refs wouldn't matter anymore.

Disagree.

In fact I'd change it so the long change happened in periods one and three, and not just two.

More tired players making more mistakes equaling more goals.

I went frame by frame, to the extent I could, and when the puck crosses the blueline, his stick is away from it (and the player is not yet at the blueline). By the time he brings his stick to the puck, the other player is fully on the bench. As I said in my prior post, they have a better claim at a too many men call.

And then there is the whole , pushed the goalie into the net, discussion.

I can't get too upset about the possible offside because it is inconsequential. The guy leaving has no bearing on the play. I like your too many men argument though - they guy who just came on early could make a difference

meanwhile in the NHL a guy offside 2 minutes ago can have a goal overturned

What I want to talk about is how that logo placement is messing with my ocd.

Edit: Or maybe it's just that the left side of the W is straight while the rest is crooked... and the left flame is crooked while the right is straight... and how the whole thing is off because of it.... It's so messed up. Like if it was a painting on the wall, everytime I walked passed it, I would straighten it if it was crooked or turn it if it was straight.

I must have missed the poll.

Also, minority positions must re-evaluate - good to know

There should be a way to make sure the "stuff happens, move on" people can't benefit from the people who refuse to move on and force stuff to stop happening.
Just need a time machine. Then you’d never have to move on.
