Uh oh, that might be it. Damn. Jets haven't even looked bad in this series.

I think that'll do it.
Avs too good, and Helley is a massive choke artist in the playoffs

#1 in goals against but 20th in HDCA. Guess it's to be expected when the goalie doesn't save them.
Carolina is an elite team by every metric.

Looking more and more like Canadian teams really just can't compete for a whole host of factors. No matter how we slice it, it's getting harder and harder for a Canadian team to actually do damage in the playoffs and win.
Regular season means nothing. We can all crap on the teams we all don't like but the truth of the matter is, if you cheer for a Canadian team and have for a long time, you really don't have a chance to win. Kinda making hockey pointless for me

Yepper, I think you're right. Guess you don't have to make that trip in June you had envisaged as a possibility.
Truth be told, Avs have much better chance to get past the Oilers, they are the only team I trust to do that and save us all from despair, so my unbiased/neutral look at this series is happy with this result and the fact it's done in 5.

So was Calgary. Carolina was the same last year.
Just a vanilla team. Not dynamic enough.

Colorado is flying. Hopefully oilers are out before possibly playing them but at least it's nice to know colorado can destroy the Oilers if need be.

Could have been interference. That's about it.

The older I get the less emotional I get about wins and losses in this game, espcially for my beloved Flames whom I will still cheer for till I'm gone. I'd been getting more and more like that beforehand, but since Covid and financial troubles and all shenanigans since then, there's just too many other burdens for me to worry about.
not to sound too much of a bummer, I must admit watching playoffs without the stress can be entertaining for sure.

One of those times reviewing a major was a good idea.

Lol so why no penalty on the Avs who jumped in?

I guess we'll see how good the Avs look against whoever they play next. But I think the Jets just aren't very good.

This series reminds me of Flames-Oilers a bit (right down to how game 1 went)...Jets just have no answer for the elite talent on the Avs.
Hellebuyck hasn't been great...but even tonight...I'm not sure which goal he's supposed to save.

That melee broke up pretty fast and if they wanted to call anything probably would've made sense to call off setting penalties to make it 4 on 4.

It was interference. Could have been called that. Makar was nowhere near the puck
