Yeah, Makar will be an even rarer case as he's a league superstar. Colorado will pay what it takes to keep him and based on location and where there team will likely be when he's up? No chance he isn't re-signed.
They won't let him get to the last season of his contract, so that means he's two seasons from a contract extension. Do you see this Av's team not being a contender in two years? Me either. So they already have the biggest chip in their pocket "we're a Stanley Cup contender". Zero, zero chance. He'll sign for a massive contract in Colorado and they'll do what it takes to fit it in.
