This might not be as dire as people think but I think you can say goodbye to coming out of the west if Demko is done for any stretch of time.

Hill has a .914 save % and 2.49 gaa last season.

Desmith has a .895 save % 2.89 gaa. Demko had a .918 save % 2.45 gaa.

This is a significant downgrade.

They probably still beat the oilers in front of DeSmith though. Skinner is an average goalie at best in the playoffs and that's what DeSmith is, and the Canucks are the deeper team in front of the goalies with much better D.

Just a reminder that people thought Vegas was in trouble when they went to their fourth? stringer Hill last year..

Vegas' $94M roster looks primed to repeat at least.

If Dallas can't stop them (imo head and shoulders the best Western club sans LTIR overages) I don't think any one in the west will.

Well Kevin Woodley, who knows goalies better than anyone, suggested earlier that while he isn't a doctor his suspicion would be that it's a similar timeline to the last injury. Which took weeks.

He also doesn't know exactly what the injury is. He's basing it on the way it is being handled and the fact it's the same knee.
