The Canucks and Preds have pretty equal goaltending.
But the Canucks have more scoring power, and this is what is needed to beat the Oilers. Sorry, I'm cheering for the Canucks.

We have to get used to it. We may not be a playoff team for the next 5 to 8 years.

Canucks big guns didn't do much (hughes had a goal but petterson quiet) and they still won- mostly depth scoring. Not a good sign for nashville. Preds may win one or two at home, but they are outclassed.
On another note I wish the canucks wore the black jerseys with those matte helmets. They are 100% better than their blue and green- one of the most boring in the league.

Also a bad sign that the Preds lost while winning the special teams battle.
I was surprised by how physically Vancouver played. They look like the more imposing team by a margin, in that department.

Still, a one goal game in the third both ways, so it could have gone either way.

Canucks won a one goal game that could have gone either way...series is far from over

Totally feel that too. To hell with all the "bring the cup back to Canada" garbage. I hope none of them win until the Flames do it whenever they're competitive again

No, but a bunch of Vancouverites will and then blame it on Surrey.

They started their failed rebuild in 2013 and saw playoffs in 2015.

That's far from a sure thing.

Maybe if Wolf doesn't pan out and they're left scrambling for bargain goalies like NJ.

How many of you were calling for Nashville to be a playoff team this season?

Elias lindholm with a hell of a Game. Don't think vancouver wins this game without him. He didn't get an assist on the winner but he started that play with playing physical.
He may be able to get a long term contract with a good playoff run.

It was easily his best game as a Canuck.

Impressive considering how historically out-played he's been in the playoffs.
I guess he had a lot in the tank to save for a good run this year and given his circumstance is trying to use this as a reset for him and his stock value.

Hope the Canucks resign him long term!
