On the other hand, they could be doing us a favour by attracting them all to one singular location so we can be clean of them roaming around. That’ll help us stay clear for those four nights.
Sounds like an opportune time to drop a giant glass dome on the place and forget about it.

Kilkenny should run a promo whereby if you answer "NG" to the server's "What equals E?" you get a discounted drink.
10% discount for wearing a Flames/1st round opponent shirt or jersey, extra 5% discount for knowing that, and a 15% surcharge for Oiler fans to offset it.

I know people are mostly joking, but I really hope that no Calgarian would actually boycott a Calgary establishment that is taking advantage of the thousands of Oilers fans that infest this city. The hospitality industry has become increasingly challenging over the years, and those are still Calgarians that own and are employed in those places.
I'll personally be going to Jamesons on 17th or another 17th Ave establishment well-known for being an Oilers bar to loudly cheer for whatever team the Oilers are playing.

Only if they double the price of everything during game nights just to rip off the stupid Oilers fans. I will then give them a pass.
I took my dad to Jameson's for Breakfast on Sunday and they had a sign out front, promoting the Oilers playoff run, and I talked to the Server and they're going to basically decorate up the bar for the Oilers run.
gag.
You didn't walk out in protest? Cap, you're slippin'.

As an insolvency lawyer I can say with confidence that while business always has challenegs, some businesses choose to create their own challenges withg poor decisions. Extreme example - those restauarants that flouted COVID laws. This decision is just an odd one. There would be better ways to attract Oiler fans. Rather than call yourselves Oiler proud, say "OK OK, for right now it's a truce and we will welcome you".

Life is choices. Jameson's made theirs, and consumers will make theirs. No one owes Jameson's anything.

Potentially affecting the well-being of other Calgarians over a marketing ploy because of a sports rivalry. To each their own I guess.
You'll all be very disappointed to know that unless there's a Flames game on, most bars in the downtown area anyway play every Oilers game during the season.

Maybe they do, but they aren't advertising that all Oiler games will be played "loud and proud" and offer a discount for wearing Oilers garb.

Every bar and pub in Calgary will be showing the Bumonton series. I'd rather go there and hate cheer with other Flames fans and support a local establishment that isn't giving a discount to our most hated rival.

Put the game on by all means. But pimp yourselves out for a few nights of potential profit? Nah eff them I can drink and eat at establishments with some pride.
