For decades Mr.Coffee could never understand why the second last episode of every series was considered super ultimate by everyone.

Montreal likes to make unusual picks, not a bad thing if they’re in front of us in the draft

An over ager with an early birthday, pretty normal actually
He won't be for long though, his team just got eliminated today by Tij and the Rockets

I think the Habs and Sens are the only teams I really worry about screwing the Flames over. Habs especially now that both Sens and Coyotes have moved ahead in the standings.

Yup, and you can see racist signs mocking him in his home arena. Can you imagine that? A effin disgrace to the sport!

If he pans out, probably more than that.
This guy scores goals like few prospects you'll see.
Ceiling is probably the next Matthews for goals scoring. I know it's lofty. Maybe I'll be able to dig up this comment in a few years.

It should be illegal for Ottawa or Montreal to draft Tij. If he does, I hope he pulls the Matthew Tkachuk special to become a UFA as quick as possible.

Apparently the guy the Hitmen picked just ahead of Joe Iginla, Noah Kosick, is now leaving the team for the NCAA (Michigan)?
Meanwhile Joe Iginla is a point per game as a 15 year old in the WHL so far.

Tij might even have knowledge of the whole MVP vote and how his dad got screwed by Montreal. Tij remembers.

Oake: How hard is it to scout Jarome’s kids, especially Tij, right now?
You know, I think you go in and… for the last 13 years I’ve been doing the draft, so you go in and, Matthew Tkachuk, we were able to get Matthew, but you see guys that you’ve played with, their kids, all the time. What we’ve always said is we just have to put everybody in the right order, put them where they belong, and then when we start to draft we’ll go down the list. And when we pick, whoever’s on that list, we’re going to take the best player.

Oake: So, the sentimental thought around here is that Tij Iginla would be perfect for the Calgary Flames given family bloodlines?
[Chuckles] I haven’t talked to Jarome or Kara or Tij about any of this. We are are getting, and our scouts have been out there working hard all year… It’ll be interesting to see when it comes to the draft how it all plays out. But he’s playing great. And it’s exciting for him. And you’re excited for all the guys you’ve played with, when you see their kids out there, there is something special about each one. And with Tij and Joe, they grew up with us and my kids, so it’s special.

I am not worried about Montreal at all. I am pretty confident as long as one of Lindstrom, Eiserman, Catton, or Demidov is still on the board which is almost a certainty they are not drafting Iginla.

Maybe those “future considerations” from the Monahan trade come into effect during the draft.
